Hurricanes and Hand Grenades VS Randy Newman's "Guilty"

Post by andrew sharpe »

Anyone else hear a strikingly similar resemblance in melody here?

I'm going to give Jason the benefit of the doubt here and assume that this is either an intentional homage or a harmless borrowing of a common vocal melody. I know Blues artists did this all the time, based new songs on old ones.

Just curious if anyone else hears the same similarity that I do?
