I just found at that Dierks Bentley just moved to a half a block from me and I immediately thought of the Isbell Bentley feud from a few years back. The miracles of alcohol. I do miss the bad ole days sometimes. They were a hoot. And I have so much appreciation for JIs sobriety story and all the folks he’s inspired. Including myself.

Jason is on a roll today, posting a string of sarcastic tweets about how he should "just stick to playing music."

My first reaction: "Is John Prine really a country artist?" Back home in Chicago he's firmly entrenched in our legendary Earl of Old Town folkie scene along with Steve Goodman, Michael Peter Smith et. al. but Steve did write City of New Orleans, and You Never Called Me By Name and John did write Angel From Montgomery, so what the heck... start the revolution.

I don’t know how to post it, but someone sent me a screen shot of Isbell on Twitter explaining that he’s planning to donate all proceeds from another artist covering “Cover Me Up” to the NAACP.
The artist covering the song, Morgan Wallen, apparently made some sort of insensitive racial remark recently.
I don’t know much about Wallen, but I did see him on SNL the other week.
