I'm impressed he can play the Peel. Saw the Norva show maybe 4 years ago and there were probaly fewer than 100 peeps there. I felt bad.

Good for Jason - love that it's starting to pay off for him.

i'm sorta surprised he's playing there to be honest. i know he's getting more known on his own & all but that's a pretty big place. on the same tour, he's playing the visulite in charlotte which is where he's been playing the last couple of years. it's a lot smaller than the peel & he's never sold that one out. maybe he's being really ambitious with the peel booking or maybe it's just charlotte hasn't supported him that well (also why dbt prob hasn't played here in a couple years now)

Played the peel a few years back, his last show at the Grey eagle was packed so guess that's why they moved him over. Was a weekday show and was no where near being full.

Plus that is Thanksgiving weekend, a historically bad weekend for shows.

This is great. Thanks for recording. Any idea if he's allowing it again? I would love to record the NYC show.

this is what he said back in aug

Really excited to record the live album this weekend. Should be released in November, and I'll let folks tape some of our shows after that.

I had a mutual friend who is an old friend of jason ask him for me. he said it was fine and he didn't care. I still would ask in advance and not just expect it every night. he's still on twitter 24/7 so pretty easy to ask directly.

Thanks for this recording. I was so disappointed I couldn't make it to Asheville for this show, we've seen Jason 6 times in the past 2 years and loved them all. But after listening to this show I'm not so disappointed any longer. It may just be me but I strongly dislike what the "fiddle" adds to most of the songs. Just not my thing at all...
