Jason solo?

Post by DiamondDave »

Anyone seen a solo show?

Jason's playing the Wormy Dog in OKC on my birthday as part of a benefit show.....
CODY CANADA, STONEY LARUE, & JASON ISBELL AND SPECIAL GUEST, MARCUS LUTTRELL

Could be good......based on that lineup, I don't imagine it'll be a real short set....Tix are $30.....

Any thoughts?

I would pay 30 to see any combination of those. Get all 3 together would be amazing. Hopefully someone records it

I'd love to see it, but I don't see how Jason's music actually fits in with the red-dirt crew.

Seen him solo a couple years ago, don't hesitate to go. It's well worth it. He played two sets and an encore.
And had many drinks with us lucky enough to be there.

Yeah I caught him two summers ago, just him and Browan playing guitars. He plays all the same songs. Took my kids along too. Well worth it.

Agreed, see him. Saw him open solo for Slobberbone a couple of years ago. He uses some loops so he can still jam out.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Absolutley awesome! I saw two shows last winter and it was great. I love the stories he tells about the songs. He told us how he wrote goddam loney love. Very cool, very cool.

Not sure if it counts but I've seen him perform solo during Tres Tangled Truckers II at the Pour House in Raleigh. Also caught him doing the acoustic duo thing at the Berkeley Cafe (also in Raleigh) just a few years ago. As for Jason doing an entire set by himself, I've never seen that.
