Its been a hell of a long time since I have been on here, but I am in for this weekend with a crew. Havent seen the boys since Tipitinas almost two years ago. Excited for three nights of rawk in the desert.
I was at that Tip's show. It was my first live music of any sort post-pandemic and was a very cathartic experience!

I hope someone will be there to do the "nightly" reviews we have been spoiled with from Athens HC!? Just saying.
I can promise I won't live up to BTB's lofty standards, but I will do my best to document proceedings!
Thank you, sir!

Hey everybody!
After many years of being absent from 3DD I’m back for Homecoming West.
I was at the 40 Watt for homecoming in 2008 and 2015 and I’m stoked to be back in the fold.
I lost my appetite for traveling for shows a few years ago, and being in Salt Lake City we
Don’t get many DBT shows (two since 2011). Bummed my buddy WWCD won’t be there, but I’m
Sure we’ll leave with more friends than we started with. I look forward to seeing everybody on Friday!
Well hey there!
Always go to the show

Almost time! We’re driving down from Salt Lake to Yucca Valley tomorrow. Should be smooth sailing. By the look of things, it might take a few years for the west coast homecoming to begin to rival the 40 Watt shows, but hey, we’ll give it our best shot. See ya at the rock show!

Hey y'all, looking forward greatly to my 2nd Heathens Homecoming, my first one was in 2010. I saw them at Pappy and Harriets a while back, but the set times were different from the tickets. Does anyone have any info on when they will be going on each night? P&H has 7pm show on Friday, 6 on Saturday, and 8 on Sunday, which doesn't match Early James, who shows himself opening at 9pm Friday and Saturday, and playing at Midnight on Sunday. Hope to see y'all there, and thanks for any info!

Well this weekend continues to test me. All my friends have backed out last minute. We were supposed to be camping in a trailer at the Camp Pioneertown which is steps away from Pappy's. But I will still be there Saturday. I wouldn't miss a Saturday Homecoming show. Bringing my 17 year old son with me. Leaving most of the party supplies at home now because I have to drive home. Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you heathens.

You are most welcome but you are not the first Alaskan. There are at least 2 that I know of: One was only around briefly a number of years ago and had "AK" in his name as well and the other is Flying Rabbit who moved there a while back and I believe is still there. Plus Beebs's brother, who I know lives there but I'm not sure if he's on here.

Have a great weekend!!

It was great. Jay interpolated “Sleep Walk” by Santo and Johnny after Patterson and Cooley had left the stage. At least I’m pretty sure that’s what it was.

Super fun show last night. Celebrated 20 years on the bus. We’ve all grown up a lot since then. I saw some familiar (most un-introduced)) faces from 3DD last night, including UR & CG up front as well as the ever present World Wide Bill. Maybe tonight I’ll get a chance to say hi. Pappy and Harriet’s is a trip! It seems like you pass through some weird portal on the drive from Yucca Valley to Pioneertown. Very Old Hollywood western movie set vibe. I had no idea what to expect, but it was a good, mixed crowd last night. Everything from old-timers like me, (and even older, believe it or not!) to a handful of beautiful young Hollywood types. As per usual we met some cool folks, including the boys from Grand Rapids as well as a member of the Philly contingent. I’m guessing 500-600 people? Patterson looked like he was having fun with his black scarf keeping him toasty, especially when he and Cooley got their wires crossed at the end of Steve McQueen. Thankfully, I was able to avoid “Portland, Oregon 2001”, which is what I remind myself of to avoid the rookie maneuver of WAY over-doing it on the first night and absolutely hating life for the next three days. My better half however … Sad to say that we split about four songs early in the interest of getting said better half safely put to bed. Looking forward to two more nights of shenanigans at the Rock Show!

Like RolanK said, definitely a homecoming type set list. Had to be at least 2.5 hours, probably close to 3 hrs (?). Opening w/ "Heathens": Typically thoughtful Patterson but very nice.

Guys! Gals! Introduce yourselves to each other! Buy each other a brewski or 3 (or, this being the 21st century, a non-alcoholic beer or smoothie or whatever). You will enjoy spending time w/ each other, I guarantee it.

The boys from Grand Rapids......Michigan? I live here in GR myself and I am very curious about these boys who traveled all the way to this event.
