Thanks for the recording! I posted my photos from the Woodstock show over in the Concert Photos thread. That was an awesome, special, night.

I also attended the Friday Bowery Ballroom show. I took photos there and maybe I will get around to posting some soon, but the Woodstock pics are better. The lighting at Bowery isn't very photo-friendly - there is lots of backlighting and single-cast colors.

The shows were just great. Going back to 2013 I am now at 15 shows, plus a bunch of solo and duo shows. For full band DBT, I got a whole bunch of first-time-hears (not counting songs from Club XIII), or at least songs I haven't heard much or in a long time:
Sands of Iwo Jima
World of Hurt
Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife
Do It Yourself
Takes Facing Up
Feb. 14
My Sweet Annette
18 Wheels of Love - I've heard it several times before but it has been a few years since the last time. Maybe not since Tarrytown 2015? I might've heard it at one of the Brooklyn shows too but I forget.

Cooley messed up in Woodstock in One of These Days (the Chicago/Memphis verse was skipped) and similarly in NYC in When The Pin Hits The Shell. Maybe the slow songs give him space to overthink and he comes up with the wrong lyrics? He absolutely ripped through the fast songs however.

I love Bowery Ballroom. I saw many of my earliest and favorite shows there from 1998 through the early 2010s and occasionally but less so nowadays. Many fond memories there. It is my favorite Manhattan venue and my third favorite music venue in New York State (or anywhere for that matter). But I am at the point where the late starts are completely disagreeable as I, and many others coming from the suburbs I'm sure, rely on the commuter Metro-North trains which late at night run once an hour. And I had to be at work early Saturday morning.

There's no reason whatsoever for a main act to be starting their set at 10:15pm, as customarily happens at Bowery. Heck, many of the shows I see in New York City's northern suburbs, are over by 10:15 or 10:30. And DBT often play an hour longer than most bands typically play. It's weird when I wish my bands would hurry up and end their show.

I played around with the idea of leaving early. Maybe if they ended with something fast like People Who Died I might've cut out. I'm not sure that I believe I would actually have done that but when they started playing Grand Canyon I knew I was not going to leave - train and work be damned. I abruptly left right after Grand Canyon - sorry I didn't do proper goodbyes or chat with anyone. The train I was hoping to take home left Grand Central Terminal at 1:04 am and my subway rolled into the GCT subway station at 1:05am. It would have taken another 2 or 3 minutes to make the connection but the train was gone. It all worked out in the end - I didn't fall asleep on the train, and I woke up in time in the morning, and I functioned properly at work. I was tempted to go to Albany tonight - I love the Egg too. I look forward to the next DBT tour through New York!

Great to see you again at the barn jonicont and Big Tom. Thanks for taping Tom, great snag.

Solid show at The Egg tonight. My buddy was running a small PCM recorder from row 5 Cooleyville so we'll see. Sound was ok but nothing like Levon's Barn. Opened with Carl Perkins, closed with Angels and Fuselage and did an Opening Act in between. Always a good time~

Oh, shit, I forgot about that :o For the moment I'm just happy to have any of the old-timers back but yeah, that's unfinished business.
