New Years with DBT

Post by DD&N 2002 »

New Years always reminds me of the years I was lucky enough to see DBT on 12/31. 2004 (Bowery Ballroom, NY), 2005 (Fox Theater, Colorado), 2006 (Variety Theater, Atlanta, 2010 (Terminal 5, NY) and 2011 (9:30 Club, D.C.). Anyone else at any of these? I have posters from all but dont know how to post a photo.

I was at the Terminal 5 show which will always standout because of the acrobats and because I got lost in the wilds of the NY suburbs trying to find my friends' house because they had left the show early, leaving me to my own devices. Oh, the band was pretty good too :)

I really dug the NY run at the 9:30 Club, great openers! Deer Tick, the Dickson boys, and this guy:

The 2011 run had J Roddy Walston & the Business too, they were great.

I think you may be recalling the 2 dates in February of that year at 9:30. J Roddy opened both.

No, Lucero opened the 29th and JRW&tB opened the 30th. I've got a bad photo of the band onstage at the 12/30 show.

Flea given your likely condition at the time, you should not even attempt to remember things from 12 years ago

Staring at both posters now...

2011: Lucero / J Roddy / Alabama Shakes & Booker T

2012: Deer Tick / Lee Fields / N Miss All Stars Duo
