"The Living Bubba" is always a good sign, especially when Patterson opens with it, but even when he doesn't.

And they got "Carl Perkins" but not "Zip City" so I guess Cooley is mixing it up at least a tiny bit.

Now that’s what I’m talking about right there. Great looking set. Cooley adding in a few shake ups makes a world of difference.

Wow. Short show and weak set. Glad I didn’t make the drive across the state. I’m starting to wonder if so many shows in a row, in different states, makes sense for them at their age.

Some weird conclusions here. Starting with calling it a “weak set” without having heard it. It was shorter than usual because of a hard 11pm curfew, but the band was full of energy and I’d venture to say it was one of the best DBT shows I’ve seen in recent years. Any show that closes with with People Who Died is invariably a banger.

Saint Andrew's Hall has an 11pm curfew on a Friday night? :?

If that is indeed the case, I wonder what the reason would be that DBT couldn't start earlier?

The last 3/4 of the show, Club XIII through Angels and Fuselage, is right up my alley. Great sequence.

My first show since 2016 last night. They absolutely crushed it. Ballad of Cecil McCobb is another amazing Patterson Eulogy.

Patterson dedicated A&F to Gary Rossington, and told a really moving story about how they had found some understanding/common ground despite their differences.

Hung with Bill most of the afternoon and had a blast. My wife had too much fun, but hey, it happens.

Wish we had crossed paths. I was a little further up than Bill was all night and just had a second to tell him I'll see him in Athens on the way out. We had a ~3 hour drive home in the snow and wanted to get on our way. I think it was damn near 6:00 when I fell asleep and I was up before 9 shoveling the driveway.

We live about 4 hours away and had a hotel to maximize fun and safety, lol. Roads were good when we left in the morning.

I started out by Bill early on and after switching to water, stayed near the Jay side aisle.

We were driving the opposite direction and it was sticking by the time we got about halfway home. It was even worse yesterday, though, so I'm glad we came home. Wound up with over a foot up here.

We were down on the Cooley side.

Great show last night in Birmingham. Patterson's mom was there as well as his sister and her husband and a number of others. Guys seemed to be in a great mood. Only negative was that either Cooley was mumbling a lot or his mic was not calibrated correct. I believe it was the latter.

Maria's Awful Disclosures
The Driver

Heathens
A Ghost to Most
Box of Spiders
Made Up English Oceans
Rosemary With a Bible and a Gun

Self Destructive Zones
Lookout Mountain
Gravity's Gone
The Company I Keep
Women Without Whiskey
Buttholeville / State Trooper
3 Dimes Down
Puttin' People on the Moon
Marry Me
Grand Canyon

*Different arrangement than on SRO; I may have heard this once but am not sure - very good, though!

Sorry for the late post, but...

DBT - 3/24 - Austin TX - Paramount Theater

The Paramount Theater is one of Austin's oldest living structures, built in 1915. The Marx Brothers performed there. Houdini did as well. It's a cool spot and one of my favorite spots. A bit different seeing DBT in a seated setting, but everyone was on their feet for the last 1/4 of the show. Patterson was particularly excited to play there, and on his birthday as well. Margo Cilker opened and was enjoyable. Really a good show all around - one of my top (something) DBT shows...
