Ready, set, go

Whoever thought it would be a good idea to get a band called “Wednesday” to play the SATURDAY night show when there is also a Wednesday night show….

Oh, my feeble brain!!!

Flights and Hotel booked. Hopefully there will be tickets left via 40 Watt tomorrow.
Same. I *definitely* didn't wake up having a borderline panic attack about this.

Breathing again here too. But they didn't make it easy - I couldn't get in until 2 or 3 minutes past the hour; was just beginning to wonder whether it was me or them. But all's well that ends well.

In for HC and Woodstock.

Assuming there was no 4 night purchase option.

I was on two devices. The Eventbrite app on my phone worked great, while the desktop site did not. Regardless, tickets to all four nights are purchased. Let the countdown begin.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

Had the same issue. Got in on the phone first.

just got 2 tix each for all four nights--eezy peezy after lining up tabs for each night and having time to complete each purchase before the selection expires. thought tix were high compared to other venues, especially since they're playing for "the faithful", but, then, i don't know anything about the economics of putting on shows. i'd like to be able to buy tix for multiple shows with one purchase, perhaps with a "bulk" ticket discount. oh, well . . . .

we're thrilled to get to come to hc again and only regret that we'll miss the second and third nights of hayes carll's three night stand (for which we already bought tix, of course). if you're not a hayes fan yet, do listen! i'm particularly partial to the "trouble in mind" and "kmag yoyo" albums, but everything he does is terrific! he's an unusually talented songwriter.

Secured tickets for all four nights using the equivalent of dial up internet on my phone while on a train... glad it was easier and didn't miss the (self created) stress of the pre-sale... although if i had known here was a pre-sale that would have been a thing! Still seems odd to me that the band didn't announce the pre-sales given that they covered the whole tour.

Anyway, happy to say that as things stand, I'm in! Now to sort out the transatlantic death tube and hotel!

I would have never thought it line up tabs for each night simultaneously. I always brag about the intelligence of this community, and lucky just confirmed my assertion! Ticket buying did seem smoother this year!

Great! Got everything lined up now (except for the shuttle from ATL to Athens) Overall much lower anxiety level this time around, than previous years. Maybe the covid years helped in some way.

Thinking I'm going to trade Athens this year for the 2 night mini-homecoming in Athens. (two birds)
I don’t understand. If it’s a typo, ok. If it’s not that is some heavy time shifting or something we’ll beyond my grasp.
By the second Athens, I meant Ashville. Just on the west side of Athens.

I did get my tickets earlier, but just now went in and got someone else who needed a little assistance two each for Friday and Saturday. (Or, as they call it, Doing a Bubba. Or at least paying the many kindnesses I've received forward).

What I THINK (THINK!) I might volunteer to do, perhaps with some assistance next year, or the next time a big tour is added, is go through EVERY show, open the ticket links and compile the listed pre-sales and conditions. (ie: Spotify, American Express, Citi Cards--the latter of which I used for the Bowery Ballroom shows).

I'd then share them here, and at least on the Heathens for Sanity FB page, so everyone is at least aware of the options.

All that said, the fact that I got Friday and Saturday at 3 PM on the on-sale date suggest perhaps something changed for the better in the process this year. Can't be sure, but I DON'T think it's that demand is down.

She may be Saturday only...I bought one each for Wednesday and Thursday and two each for Friday and Saturday. But she will be making an appearance of some kind!

Thanks for starting the countdown, Sterling!

As I say this, I feel like an old man, but I have no idea how to post pictures on this site.

I do, and have for years, keep 3DD minimized on my phone 24-7 and check it periodically and have been waiting for someone to get excited about Homecoming!

Going Friday & Saturday.
First Homecoming. First time in Athens.
Work is paying for it too, hell yeah. Flight, rental car, hotel & meals all taken care of.
Really excited.
I'll be wearing a WarHen Records hat, no doubt, so please say hello if you see me around.
Share your recs for the town, I'm looking forward to exploring.
