Seattle 2/19 & 2/20

Post by chuckrh »

I've got tickets for 2/19, this is the make-up show for 2 years ago. Been sitting on the tickets that long. I really hope they play "Angels & Fuselage" at that show. There's a good (bad) chance that this will be my last chance to see them because of health reasons. It's getting really tough to go to shows. Trying to fix that but its a hail Mary. Anyway, I've seen the band & solo projects many, many times & have never managed to see them play "Angels &". It's my favorite DBT song & kind of what got me into the band in the first place. I know Patterson reads stuff on the site once in awhile & I hope he sees this. See you at the rock show in a week!

Well, extrapolating the set list from last night in Portland (they did Grand Canyon) which means odds are they'll do Angels tonight (unless I get lucky & they do Hell No I Ain't Happy). That indicates I won't get Angels Saturday in Seattle. I hope I'm wrong as there's no way I can manage going Sunday. I'll be doing good making it to the rock show Saturday. I had a bunch of nasty steroids surgically injected in my hip a few days ago & am not feeling so hot. I'm gonna go come hell or high water though. The War on Drugs on Tuesday could be in trouble though, depending. What a drag it is getting old - Mick Jagger

A guy could go broke trying to bet on what song(s) Patterson will play on a given night. Remember, he has done 3 nite runs w/out repeating any songs. That's one reason to always go to the show (if you're able, of course). Hope you get what you want but hopefully it will be worth the effort either way. I hope it's one of your better days and that you have a great time.

If you count the solo shows & Dimmer Twins, that's about how many times I've seen them. Fingers crossed for tonight although it's going to be a game time decision if I'm able to go. Really not feeling so hot. Unfortunately, I'm used to that but it's not really conducive to rocking out. I'm not quite Living Bubba stage but really not that far from that. Lately it seems like something new & bad happening every week. It's definitely disconcerting.

This Slow Ride/Santa Fe opener is a new wrinkle in the set lists. Not every night, but several on this tour

It was pretty cool. I really like Slow Ride as an opener. They should segue it into "Fool for the City"! :D

I haven't seen every setlist from the current swing, but my sense is that Cooley is mixing it up a little more. I'm really looking forward to hearing the new ones soon.

Awesome to see “Natural Light” getting dusted off. That was one of the livestream highlights. I have always loved that one.

Thanks for the setlists, Bill.

Great, inspired choices from Patterson. Cooley on the other hand, once again, can’t respond and plays the same 10-15 songs every night. I’m starting to wonder if he even wants to be there anymore? Seriously. There’s no way the band can still play a song like Gravity’s Gone with a smile on their face.

Cooley played 19 unique songs over two nights in Seattle. I'm not sure what you want him to sing at this point
