Just noticed that 4/7 is the anniversary of John Prine's passing. Hoping we might count on a cover or two from the boys in tribute.

I hate it, but various things have conspired to take me out this year.

The stars aligned and have a Thursday tick but looking for st least one and two might mean PA Joe would tag along for W, F and Sat. Hope to see some of you in SLC for another shot after last August's washout.

Welcome to the fold VT. The concerts are just part of the magic of Homecoming.

Do any of you feel strange being “home” for Valentines weekend?

It pains me to say that despite my best efforts, I just can't make the new dates work. I posted my tix on the FB group yesterday (sorry, should have thought to come here first) and immediately sold my 4 for Saturday (to the mod, no less). Easy transfer via eventbrite. I still have 2 for Wednesday, 2 for Thursday, and 4 for Friday if anyone is looking. Thanks...

Ouch. That sounds painful. Here's hoping for a last minute miracle that let's you get to at least some of the shows.

Vt3p,
I hope to meet you. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express. I’d tell you to look for a middle aged guy wearing a cool music tee shirt, but I’m afraid that wouldn’t narrow down the search much. I will be accompanying my father-in-law Bryan, so if you see two guys who are mismatched in age and seem to be too good of buddies to be father-in-law and son-in-law, you’ll know you found me!

To the group,
I’m getting really excited! I hate that the schedule change precluded attendance for some of you, but in respect to Covid, I feel much better about attending now than I did in December!

Happy Friday, y’all!

So I’m not on Facebook, but Beaverdamsfinlaw just sent me a screenshot for the Heathens’ Bake Sale for Nuccis.

You’ve got to love the fact that the conditions for baked goods had to be specified.

I can’t wait to see y’all!!!!

Hi, y’all! Long time lurker, first time poster here. Unfortunately, the stars are not aligned for us to make it to Homecoming this year, so please reach out if you are looking for tickets. I have a pair each for Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.

We should have some absolutely beautiful afternoons to sit outside the 40 watt in line.

I just keep thinking about a college campus in Spring…beautiful sight!!!

With that kind of weather some folks may start the line at 8am!!!!

Speaking of April in Georgia, in case anybody's interested, it is 96 miles from Athens to Augusta.

Not a golf guy, but this does remind me: one time we flew into ATL the week of the Masters (unbeknownst to us) to visit family. Suffice to say, our rental car "reservation" did not secure us a car and we ended up sitting in the College Park rental car agency for several hours waiting for one.

Be warned: rental cars are likely to be at a premium if you're getting in within a few days of the tournament beginning on the 7th.

Good point on the rental car.

Not a golf guy either but toying w/ the idea in a "life list check the box" kind of way.

Are we doing a beer share this year (normally Days Inn parking lot)?

I’ve picked up different beers in my travels and have been saving to share with the group.

I would usually end up using the restroom in Rod’s room during the beer share. We may all be thinking this, but I’m going to go ahead and say….

While I certainly anticipate the fact that Homecoming is happening this year, it sure is going to be different!

I’m not trying to make anyone sad on a Friday pm, just celebrate those lives which we were able to share, enjoy, and celebrate.

Cheers!

This may be more medical info than any of you wanted to know…don’t worry I’m not delving into hemorrhoid or ED territory!

I am not a distance runner but since Covid I’ve quit the gym, and switched to doing my elliptical at home twice per week and running about 1.25 miles three times per week.

My feet started killing me a while ago. I did extensive internet research (as medical professionals love laypeople to do (sarcasm)) and diagnosed myself with plantar facitis.

I live in a fairly rural area but have a podiatrist close…I called this morning, and he had an opening and gave me a shot in my foot. I already feel better. The doc said I may have to get custom orthodics, but for now my foot already feels better. I have to lay off running for at least a couple of weeks, but I can resume the elliptical.

As I type all this I realize that I’m happy to have chosen a band which did NOT have a super young fan base…and happy to have feet that don’t hurt!

I’ll see y’all in a few weeks!
