PS By New England standards, Greenfield is nowhere near metro Boston. OTOH, by Texas standards, it's practically next door.

Cautiously holding out hope that this isn't the first show back. If it is I will probably do my best to make it, but I'd much prefer a "home game" show for them, as opposed to a festival.

I don’t know. This festival draws about 6000 so it ain’t gonna be full of Heathens. They ain’t the headliner. The folks hanging around to see Ani Difranco may not have much interest
Always go to the show

Yeah, I'm ambivalent at best. It's not really what I had in mind for a return. OTOH it's a lot closer than most of the places I've been anticipating as the potential location of the great return. Seems kind of fitting in the year of the virus that even this much anticipated moment is not just a plain joyful pull out all the heAthen stops no brainer.

If I make this show--not likely, considering its time in the academic year--as opposed to another, that'll be why. I'd love to see her again.

Surprising nobody, I woke up this morning thinking it was obvious I should buy a ticket, so I did. Unless the weather is atrocious I will presumably go. Even if it's less than ideal it's still the DBT's, still the rock show and there will still be plenty of heAthens there to reconnect with after a year and a half.

Yeah, if I lived anywhere remotely close I'd have done the same thing. I do, however, think there are decent-to-good odds that they announce a few shows for earlier in August or even July. Patterson is back on the road in June, so I don't see any reason there couldn't be a list of DBT dates forthcoming.

Wondering the same thing. I'm sure the DBT team is busy planning and lining up dates but I haven't heard a word about the where and when of it. I've been saying September myself, but that's a totally uninformed guess.

I could see September. Dinosaur Jr. plays some of the same venues as DBT and they are returning to indoor venues in September.

Tim, I have tickets for Psycho. I will decide next month when we get the final lineup whether I’m going or will ask for a refund.

i think the lineup will be decent but not amazing... pretty convinced that some of the Euro bands i really want to see like Satyricon won't make it... Mercyful Fate would be fun but not a deal breaker for me. fingers crossed.

Caught the PH thing with Bettye LaVette tonight and he alluded to DBT playing in August, and also to something Dimmer Twins-related in the works. August could, of course, just refer to this show. But it could also refer to something else!

Wow; DBT last. Excellent.

The Bonny Light Horseman record was Top 5 for me in 2020.

Looking forward to seeing some of you mob there.

I've been wondering if it still makes sense to attend. I guess it will be a fairly last minute decision but the revised schedule certainly makes it more attractive both for length of set and safety (I assume the crowd will have thinned out some by then hard as it is to understand that). Really hoping to seeing the partial mob as well, but, but, but...

The world is a better place w/ the rock show in it. Deets later. Perhaps uncle rickey or the wordman will oblige w/ a setlist?
