Live from Austin, TX on 2xLP
Stumbled upon this while perusing Jackpot Records' website. Out 10/23. Considering it's on New West and not ATO, I don't know how much the band had to do with this or if they will even be promoting it, but figured it merited a post here.

All it takes is one wicked heart, a pile of money, and a chain of folks just doing their jobs

Might be the surprise Patterson was talking about.
and that pussy Alec Baldwin blew that girl away, and speaking of pussy Steve got it all!

Kinda doubt it because he said he was in the studio working on that...but maybe.

Apparently the entire New West DBT catalog is being repressed on various colors of vinyl this fall.

Yeah, I remember when they re-released Jason's Live at Twist and Shout EP a couple years back, he went on Twitter and all but told people not to buy it.

I remember FNW being on Shonna's bass back in the day.Mundane Mayhem wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:22 amYeah, I remember when they re-released Jason's Live at Twist and Shout EP a couple years back, he went on Twitter and all but told people not to buy it.
Funny, at first I thought it meant F'n W, as in George Bush...
Isn't the song "Assholes" about NW?

I believe that's the prevailing theory, yes. Good excuse to read this doozy of a thread.gepman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 8:35 amI remember FNW being on Shonna's bass back in the day.Mundane Mayhem wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:22 amYeah, I remember when they re-released Jason's Live at Twist and Shout EP a couple years back, he went on Twitter and all but told people not to buy it.

It should be noted that the band has a very good relationship with New West now. The assholes they referenced are long gone. New West is actually in Athens now.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Good clarification. Patterson suggests as much in that "Assholes" thread, so it's good to keep in mind.Tequila Cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 7:51 pmIt should be noted that the band has a very good relationship with New West now. I will probably buy the ACL release since this is its first time on vinyl. I love colored vinyl as much as the next guy, but probably not gonna drop a bunch of money on the records I already own.

Understood. Thanks for the clarification.Tequila Cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 7:51 pmIt should be noted that the band has a very good relationship with New West now. The assholes they referenced are long gone. New West is actually in Athens now.
For us "Joe Blows", its a bit tedious and not so easy to try and keep up with all of the minutiae...
Seems odd that I haven't seen an email, or Twitter post from the band promoting this (unless I missed it)...

If it were me, I'd spend my time and energy setting up and promoting the things that wouldn't happen without me and over which I had more control of the revenue.gepman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:12 pmUnderstood. The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Will definitely buy it since I was lucky enough to be there.
