I agree with this. It was Cooley songs that initially brought me into the DBT fold. I think the main issue I have with his solo performances is that some of the songs he speeds up the lyrics too much and it doesn’t sound right to me. It’s not all of his songs solo but there’s definitely a few that I just prefer to hear electric with the band. I do love the finger picking he does though.

Patterson was kind enough to reply to my request email.

No Sands of Iwo Jima tonight because its being saved for the third show. Which will be a family and folklore show to coincide with what would have been George A's 100th birthday, on the 27th.

Thanks for this.

I have a weird love/hate relationship with Cooley's acoustic versions of his songs. Some are really awesome, and others are weird and off-putting. I'm sure that's just me....
I didn’t like Birthday Boy until I heard it transformed into the fingerpicking acoustic version. I love it now but it took
hearing it that way to appreciate the beauty of the song.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

How was Patterson's streaming quality on this platform? I want to support him, but if most songs end up being choppy and hard to listen to, hard to justify dropping $18 on it.

Most of the (free) live streams I've been listening to have left a lot to be desired with the streaming quality.

His stream was better than Cooley's. Flawless in fact. Much better than any other other stream I've tapped into since this all started.

Stream quality is excellent, noticeably better than both of last week's.

It does sound great but I I thought his show did last week too. Cooley’s could have been a little better

I think I am in desperate need of a wifi router and modem upgrade. All 3 streams so far have been plagued with terrible skipping, blips, buffering, drops etc..at some point.

I had one bad freeze/drop so it's not perfect, but yeah, you might want to look into things from your end because what I'm seeing/hearing is pretty impressive.

I suspect I'm not the only one who requested "Mercy Buckets" but I did request it so I'm extra happy at the moment. And he's killing it.
