The gig in Phoenix on August 12th is still listed on the Van Buren's site. Drive By Truckers y'all coming to the valley or what?

Don't get your hopes up my friend. The Norcal shows heading into AZ have been postponed. Twice.

The rescheduled Petaluma show has been postponed? I suspect it will be.

Not officially, but the Fillmore is postponed, and they aren't coming all this way for one show.

Holding tickets to the September 12 show at The Vic in Chicago and the September 14 show at the Ryman in Nashville. I haven't received cancellation/postponed notices, but I can't believe either show will go on as scheduled. I wish they would just go ahead and cancel or postpone.

Yea Chez, I'm with ya. I have tix for the Ryman gig in September as well, and have decided to let them go and get a refund. With a lot of acts cancelling outdoor tours, (Wilco & Slater Kinney) ( Blackberry Smoke) its ridiculous to imagine these theatre / club gigs are going to materialize. (For our beloved Drive By Truckers or any rockin band for that matter). Personally, I can't see myself rocking out and singing along to " Women Without Whiskey" with a frecking mask on.

The band should seriously consider putting off touring for 2020 and reschedule for next year. Not going to waste time booking flights, hotels, cars etc if shows are in jeopardy and keep getting pushed back, and back and back.

Broadway has already announced that they won’t be performing at all in 2020. Live music venues should follow
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Really worried about music venues. The outlook for Austin isn't good. This could tear the soul right out of my city.

Sad. In the meantime according to reports some big bands are getting million dollar small business loans. Eagles, G n R, Pearl Jam amongst others. Of course these bands wouldn't be playing the smaller venues. Bleak times for bands further down the food chain having venues to play in. DBT would be in that category. I can see the big promoters swooping in & buying up some small venues at pennies on the dollar. In the end the artists & consumers will get screwed while Livenation & AEG take the money & run. I went to SXSW one year (Johnny Cash was the keynote speaker) & really enjoyed Austin. I can't really say that about the other spots in Texas I've been to.

A horrible situation - these clubs in Manhattan and other major cities are going to take a massive hit.

Jessie Malin ( who owns a few NYC clubs ) did a piece for RS -

As other business got massive PPP loans, these businesses are the ones suffering the worst. Truly sad indeed

Honestly, I don't know how much it will help, but there IS money available under multiple federal programs. Most are loans but interest rates are literally like 1%. In the absence of customers for a continuing and likely extended period I don't know that it will amount to taking on more debt that can't be paid back, but if access to cash is the problem for a particular club(s) they really ought to check out their options.

Had to be done. 60% of the band is over 50 not to mention the audience.

Get real, Jeff. That money's for small businesses. You know, like the Catholic church.
