Cooley on Andy Frasco's Podcast dropped this morning

I really enjoyed listening to Cooley. He seemed like he was in a good mood and really relaxed. The one guy got on my nerves with all the, "Fuuuuuuck!! That is craaaaaazy!! Nooo waaaaay!!". And they both tended to interrupt while he was trying to answer. He had to talk over them a few times so he could answer.

"Hang in there. One day you're gonna have a porno machine in your pocket that also makes phone calls."

Similar reaction here. On the whole, glad I listened and the interview did draw some good stuff out of Cooley, so kudos where due. Cooley does so few of these long-form interviews that I was really hoping (maybe unfairly) for a little better preparation on the part of the interviewer. I know this guy's a fellow musician shooting the shit with Cooley, so maybe I shouldn't expect questions like the ones you might get out of, say, Steven Hyden. The "Nooooooo waaaaaaay" stuff was annoying just as a matter of personal preference. But what grated on me more was when those reactions were in response to things that a little research would have revealed before Cooley walked into the room. For instance, that American Band came out before the election. Not exactly superfan stuff.

Hope this is a sign of things to come as they move into a new album cycle. Patterson always seems to shoulder a lot of the promotional duties and does a damn fine job of it, but I'd love to hear a little more from Cooley this time around.

Speaking of podcasts, when I critiqued Marc Maron on this board for not being prepared on one of his podcasts (with either Patterson or Jason - I can't remember) one of the fanboys here attacked me like a pack of jackals.

Could nit pick the interview / questions all day, but whats the point? We got nearly an hour of unfiltered Cooley.
Even Cooley stated that Jason was only on two of their albums (seemingly forgetting all about ABAAC...)
It was a good listen.

I hear you. And we're mostly on the same page. Can't really complain much about randomly getting an hour of Cooley on a Tuesday morning.

The guy was a little annoying at times and certainly could have brushed up on some history/did some minor research but I think Cooley really enjoyed and fed off of his enthusiasm. Good listen.

Alex seemed like he wasn't on his meds. Mike seemed to handle Alex's 5 second attention span well. Some great answers and insight.

Maybe I'm old but I just don't use "fuck" as an adjective, adverb, verb, noun and conjunction that much anymore.

Don't think I will seek out this podcast unless the guest is someone I want to hear.
