In for both nights in Asheville. These will be our first Dimmer Twins shows as we had to miss Jeffrey’s backyard bash this summer due to my son’s graduation. Looking forward to these gigs & the Grey Eagle is a nice, small venue.

Indeed, Let's hope there is one more leg of the tour to be announced, although that seems unlikely.

I get frustrated that a lot of acts that are better suited to a bar/club usually play at The Egg when in my area. But I'm pumped for Hood and Cooley in this great little theater.

Anyone else planning on the Albany show?

I agree that DBT is better suited to a bar/club than The Egg. But I don't feel that way about The Dimmer Twins. It's a seated show and a loud audience would take away from the songs.

I will be in Albany for the show. Look forward to seeing you there.

Agreed. I saw McMurty with the full band there (in the Sawyer Theater) a ways back and it was a little uncomfortable for everyone. You could tell the band really needed crowd noise between songs and more of a barroom energy. This is a great fit for these two though.

We'll make up for not getting together at Psycho, Bill. Looking forward to it.

Maybe these will be the only shows and I think I read something from Patterson saying that the band was mostly going to take the summer off. But I'm still hoping we'll see another 10 day swing added, something like Ohio/Detroit/Chicago (2 dates, of course!), Milwaukee/Madison & Minneapolis. Hell, we can even throw in a Des Moines date to keep the Iowa boys happy. :D

California, the state with the largest population, gets 3-4 DBT shows most years

Quit yer cryin’

And, yes, I do fully understand and appreciate the logistics behind why a band based in the east will play more often there than here in west

Folks, there's an album coming this fall. Chances are pretty good that the band will come within a few hours of you not long after that. The Dimmer Twins thing has gone from a few one offs to this mini-tour and they can't be everywhere. Not saying it isn't disappointing to anyone without a show close by, but to say the Midwest got "boned" is a bit dramatic don't you think?

Maybe it is dramatic to say the Midwest got "boned", but the Live Music Capital of the World was left out. I don't want to say "boned"...but...

It's been since October 2017 since DBT has played Ohio as a headliner. Just sayin'....

Rock & good news; got tickets for May 11 show in Seattle. It's worked out well having Patterson living in Portland. Get a lot more shows with him & the band than we used to. Nice Dimmer Twins is on a weekend. With a 9:00 kickoff for the show, it wouldn't have been happening on a work night.

If anyone got boned it's NC...only 2 shows on the far western side of the state? It takes a few hours to drive there. #boned

love this from the patterson newsletter:

In April and May, for the first time ever, the Dimmer Twins will hit the road for an actual tour. This year marks the 34th year of Cooley and I playing together and (as anyone who’s seen us doing this can attest) the Dimmer Twins shows have taken on a life of their own. 2 assholes, 2 guitars, 2 microphones and a case of beer. What could possibly go wrong.
