Didn’t hear this one and can’t find anything about it. They’re in a Richmond the following day supposedly. I’d definitely leave York for that!!!

That’s the answer I was hoping for...Jonicont wrote:Solid rumor. No deets yet

The wife and I are in!
Who could pass up a cocktail hour and a Dimmer Twins show at a daycare 20 minutes down the road...
Thanks for the info, John.

Re: Dimmer Twins show in Baltimore on 9/7??
I hope you all have fun. Lucky you for those who can attend. Cockeysville is even outside the Beltway so the drive from York should be a breeze. You won't even need to mess with 695. It's also really cool that it's a benefit show (at least that is what it sounds like).
Re: Dimmer Twins show in Baltimore on 9/7??
I don't want to sound cheap or critical of benefit shows but $108?
Re: Dimmer Twins show in Baltimore on 9/7??
I get that. I was a bit taken back at first as well.njMark wrote:I don't want to sound cheap or critical of benefit shows but $108?
But consider a "normal" show is $30-$40 with fees.
This is an intimate show (looks like 100 were available this morning).
Place is in a shopping center (free parking...)
Complimentary beer, wine, apps... Cocktail hour at a Daycare with the Dimmer Twins???
Maybe the 15th or so Dimmer Twins show ever?? (someone may be able to correct me here)...
Plus, it's for CHARITY! Ticketfly/master/tron (whatever the F) isn't getting a DIME. (not even 3DD's).
Hey MODS, can you remove the "??" from the thread title?

Sure wish we could do this but I don't think it's going to work out. We do plan on hitting Richmond the next day for that Stone Brewery festival or whatever it is.Jonicont wrote:Here's the link. Looks like a day care center. $108.

See you there! I bought the VIP tickets, but I have no idea what extra juice it delivers. Free beer, I hope.brett27295 wrote:Sure wish we could do this but I don't think it's going to work out. Plus it’s only an hour drive down 83 from Central PA, so I’m saving on gas and no need for a hotel. And, it’s the Dimmer Twins. See you in Cockeysville.gepman wrote:I get that. I was a bit taken back at first as well.njMark wrote:I don't want to sound cheap or critical of benefit shows but $108?

Wow wow wow.
Can't say enough good things about last night.
Boys hit the stage a little before 9, played until about 10:40. In a preschool, a fucking preschool...
Maybe 100 people in attendance. The hosts / owners were so generous and friendly.
For those fretting the ticket price... Well, local favorite Pappas' catered the event. Crab balls, crab pretzels, fried shrimp, to name a few. Not to mention 7-8 different beers to choose from, wine.
And did I mention the food and drink was included?!?!?!
Heck, they even threw in free drink coozies to commemorate the night.
Guys sounded great. Talked about hitting the studio in Memphis this coming week (or Daddy's bender as Cooley called it). Lots of other great stories and banter.
Too much fun.
Heathens
Women Without Whiskey
My Sweet Annette (can't hear this one enough)
Space City
21st Century USA
Shit Shots Count
Company I Kkep
Gravity’s Gone
Mercy Buckets
Love Like This
Tails Facin' Up
Ramon Casiano
What it Means

Surrender Under Protest
Babies In Cages
Once They Banned Imagine
The Living Bubba

Gepman was spot on, I’ll add that the banter between Hood and Cooley at a Dimmer Twins show is worth the price of admission on its own. Mercy Buckets was great to hear, haven’t heard that in a while. Love Like This, Tales Facing Up highlights as well. Sweet Annette, in my opinion, when of the greatest songs ever written. Folks were singing along to a few of the songs including Surrender under Protest. The crab balls and fried shrimp were particularly good. If this Drool of Rock school works, Cockeysville, MD will be the hippest place in 20 years.
