I have seen the band take to stage to The Clash multiple times, but I had never really processed it, so I am not sure if it was every time, nor am I sure it was The Clash 100% of the time.

Can anyone help me out here?

It changes, but The Clash has been the preferred walk out music for awhile. I've heard "Train in Vain", "Straight to Hell" and "Know Your Rights" over the last couple of years. Could be others.

I feel like it was Eddie Hinton for quite a long stretch, several years back.

I've heard Paul Stanley (possibly Ace Frehley as well), Patti Smith, "Sirens of the Ditch" back in the day (specifically remember "Brand New Kind of Actress" and "Shotgun Wedding", prior to album release and Jason's departure); my favorite though is Eddie Hinton's "I Need Something Heavy".

My absolute favorite was Gil Scott-Heron's "Whitey on the Moon" a few years ago at Homecoming. The band then launched into Puttin' People on the Moon as the opener and we were off to the races.

Jeez they don't walk out to Eddie Hinton anymore? It really has been along time since I've been to a show.

Just off the top of my head I've heard them come out on stage to Your Woman, Bloodkin, that Whitey On The Moon thing, maybe this happened in a dream but I could swear I remember Waylon playing as they walked on stage once. I can't remember where I was when this happened. If it did just happen in a dream it should have been real. And of course Eddie Hinton which is favorite of them and has probably been the walk out music at ninety percent of the shows I've been to.

Have you detected any themes that have emerged? In other words, do you think there is any rhyme or reason to their walk-out music? (It seems to me that almost nothing at a Rock Show is unintentional, but perhaps I am overthinking this.)

A 9:30 club show a few years back they came out to Kendrick Lamar.

It may have been the mushrooms but I swear they played the theme from Mary Tyler Moore (You're Gonna Make it After All) as the crowd was walking out after the show at Stubbs last April.

That is great info that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for sharing. It doesn't surprise me. PH has spoken several times about the significance of Kendrick, especially his "To Pimp a Butterfly" album.

That's hilarious. I am going to see if I can find the show in the archives to confirm. Was it April 2018 or 2017?
