Drive By Truckers/Hanging Hills Brewing Homecoming Beer

Post by Sunny Side Up »

Hey Three Dime Down -

I'm one of the partners at the Hanging Hills Brewing Company, in Hartford, CT. We're really excited to let y'all know we're releasing a beer with DBT just in time for the homecoming shows. We're calling it Chester, Goddamnit Georgia Brown Ale and we threw a whole mess of Georgia grown ingredients like pecans, triticale and sorghum malt in this beer. As if you needed another reason to drink some Chester, a large portion of the total sales is going directly to Nuci's Space. A win win for all.

Find us on facebook (@hanginghillsbrewing) twitter (@hhillsbeer) and/or instagram (@hanginghillsbrewing) for more details. Chester, Goddamnit will only be available at our brewery and at the shows (although a super tiny amount will be sent down to Nuci's Space for the fundraiser). It'll be released exclusively at the brewery on Friday 1/26 at 4 PM and then the 40 Watt will be selling cans as of 2/15. See you at the Rock Show.

-Joe

18 Packs would have been wiser than the 4 packs of 16 oz cans we foolishly decided to release them in. Guess you'll have to buy a few.

All right! I really enjoyed your Massive Nights beer for The Hold Steady’s shows in December. So these will be available at the 40 Watt?

Any chance I can persuade one of you Heathens to send me a can out to California?

Will it be available at the 40 Watt for on-site consumption only or will we be able to buy some to take with us?
Maybe everyday is Saturday morning...

I was wondering about that too. Hoping it might be available to-go at the merch table, but I don't know if there are laws about that kind of thing.

Excited to try this beer, and really glad they didn't go with Vodka and Milk.

I'm out of town this weekend (seeing some band somewhere), but plan to run up to Hartford next weekend and grab some to-go packs, you know, in the name of research. ;)

Always safe to assume that there's a law about pretty much everything. Which is why it's important to be resourceful and creative and we are nothing if not a resourceful and creative group.

I grew up on Smokey & The Bandit, I've been training my whole life for this. Y'all please just don't drink it all before I get there Saturday night.

Unfortunately the beer will only be available at the Hanging Hills Brewing Co and the 40 Watt. Cheers!

Beer and DBT.

Is it bad that I'm considering driving to visit a friend in Atlanta that weekend just to go to Athens and pick up some cans? I just can't stand for the duration of a Rock Show anymore, so no shows for me this year, but I NEED more Wes Freed in my life.

Heading home from Hanging Hills Brewery. We had the pleasure of meeting Joe & had a wonderful conversation. Can’t wait to hang out at Homecoming! We picked up some beer of course & had a sample while there. Luke thought it was great! I have to admit I don’t drink beer but I had a taste & enjoyed it. I think my beer drinking friends will be very happy!
