Due to weather I've haven't worked in a while and have had lots of time to sit and get really, really excited about Homecoming.

I've started thinking about some of my favorite moments from last year and look them up on the YouTube. 2017 Thursday night's cover of "Ohh La La" was just such a surreal moment for me.

I'd love to hear that song covered again, and I think I was prompted to think of it when I heard Yonder's cover of the song on Jam on the other day. "Ohh La La" is a song that I knew but not that well, but I thought the way it jived with the feeling of the show was awesome!

Is it Valentine's weekend yet????

Okay, Homecoming is close, so let's get serious now. Two Patterson and Two Cooley songs you want to hear that have a reasonable chance of being played (ie no Daddy's Cup, Buford, etc)

Carl Perkins
Hearing Jimmy Loud

Steve McQueen
Pauline Hawkins

Wow. That was harder than I though it would be. :o

Emily pointed out to me recently that this winter is the 10-year anniversary of the release of Brighter Than Creation's Dark. Seems like Homecoming would be the opportune time to break out some of the rarely played gems from that album in celebration:

Two Daughters
Perfect Timing
Daddy Needs a Drink
BOB
The Opening Act
Lisa's Birthday
Checkout Time in Vegas

Also very excited to see Runaway Train popping up in recent setlists.

Based on this thread, there may be people in the world who would rather hear Cooley sing Bob or Lisa's Birthday than Daddy's Cup.

Does. Not. Compute.

Patterson:

9 Bullets
Do it Yourself

Cooley:

Carl Perkins' Cadillac
Hearing Jimmy Loud

I could go on and on with more songs, but any of these would be great!

Not a song to bring back, but a cover I'd love to hear:

Saturday Night Special

with Cooley singing, late in the set
------
My ongoing list of songs to bring back that I'd love to hear every show:

Goodbye
Plastic Flowers
Road Cases (with the story about ARS)
Sounds Better in the Song

and I'll throw in:

Something's Gotta Give
After the Scene Dies
Let the outside air in

I am definitely one of those people. Especially Lisa's Birthday. That is one of my favorite "slow" DBT songs to turn up REAL LOUD. A beautiful piece of music all around.
I'd like to say I'm sorry, I'd like to say I'm sorry, I'd like to say I'm sorry...BUT I AIN'T SORRY!

I haven’t had a chance to read through this thread but I want a loud, straightforward version of CARELESS brought back.
