Jay G. (w/Parker from the Whigs) in Jacksonville 12/10

Post by Jack Flash »

My buddy runs a great local brewery here in Jacksonville called Intuition Ale Works. He’s a big DBT fan and he’s trying to build it up as a place for cool bands to play. Starting with this show. It’ll be on the rooftop bar area, with lovely views of the St. John’s River and EverBank Field (if you’ve never been to downtown Jax this probably isn’t nearly as picturesque as it sounds but it’s still nice). I hope anyone in the area can come - not just to see Sweet Baby Jay (allegedly there will be some setlist surprises in store), but to support Intuition getting up and running with hosting cool shows. Lord knows Jax needs a venue that attracts great bands and is actually fun and convenient to go to.

Due to schedule conflict with the Jaguars the show has been moved to 2pm and is now free.

That it was. Plus if you already purchased tickets, in addition to a refund, you will be entitled to FREE BEER. So no excuses. Everybody should be at this show!

Didn't see any of you at this show (SHAME), an only an estimated 3.8% of the crowd were actually paying attention to the music instead of pregaming furiously for the Jaguars game, but it was still a great, great time. In addition to the above treat, Jay also played Birthday Boy, Heathens, I Do Believe, and Uncle Frank during his solo set in addition to his usual repertoire (closing with a superb version of Cruel to Be Kind, one of my faves).
