I would like to have gone, but it would be tough with work on Friday, plus my wife is out of town so kid logistical issues are precluding me from attending.

Am I seeing the times for this right? Show (Strand of Oaks) starts at 9 and everything has to be done by 11:45, giving DBT only ~90 minutes to play?

Yeah, sorry I'll catch you next time. I am swamped with work with important calls tomorrow and I need to be coherent. Five hours in the car and bedtime at 2:30-3:00 AM wouldn't lend itself well to that.Beaverdamsfinlaw wrote:T.C.
I'll buy the first round

I've been to shows before with an early curfew (Wilmington, NC comes to mind) but DBT usually starts much earlier than usual. I would call the venue.nowigotworry wrote:Am I seeing the times for this right? Show (Strand of Oaks) starts at 9 and everything has to be done by 11:45, giving DBT only ~90 minutes to play?
Turn you demons into walls of goddamned noise and sound.
Re: Oxford 9/28
I just talked to Bryan, and he'd made it to Oxford and was buying tequilla!
I sure wish I could have gone.

Surrender Under Protest
Darkened Flags on the Cusp of Dawn
A Ghost to Most
Goodes' Field Road
Shit Shots Count
Sinkhole
Ramon Casiano
Ever South
Kinky Hypocrite (which I thought was going into Buttholeville for just a moment)
The KKK Took My Baby Away
Ronnie and Neil
Women Without Whiskey
The Perilous Night
Filthy and Fried
The Righteous Path
Gravity's Gone
Lookout Mountain
First Air of Autumn
My Sweet Annette
Marry Me
What It Means
When They Banned Imagine
Pauline Hawkins
Where the Devil Don't Stay
Hell No, I Ain't Happy-->Sign O' The Times-->Hell No, I Ain't Happy
An interesting set list. Most of American Band, three from English Oceans, nothing before SRO, no Zip City or Let There Be Rock. I enjoyed it a lot and especially enjoyed hearing Pauline Hawkins again. It'd been too long for that one. I really liked Strand of Oaks, too. You folks have fun in Atlanta.

Re: Oxford 9/28
Thanks for all the info on Fayetteville. We hit a few of your suggestions, but at the last minute I decided I would zip on down to Oxford. I had no idea you were going to be there. I would have liked to have met you. I might have seen you. Where were you? I was right in front of Cooley. Front row. I hope you weren't one of those drunk guys incessantly screaming song requests!John A Arkansawyer wrote:Surrender Under Protest

I hate that I didn't get to meet you, Dean, but I did get to meet your sweet bride Beth. It was an honor.Tequila Cowboy wrote:Yeah, sorry I'll catch you next time. It was nice meeting you last night. I was one of the three guys who were already in line when you arrived. The one in the glasses. See you soon. Homecoming, I hope.Beaverdamsfinlaw wrote:T.C.
