Thanks for the recording, Gordon! I'm assuming no stream tonight?!? I'll plan to listen to last nights show and pretend it's live. I think Bryan (fatherinlaw) is going to listen with me.

Asheville is a cool ass town. Y'all enjoy!

That was decided long ago when we did an icebreaker the first day of school and he said his favorite album was The Dirty South. Didn’t quite expect to hear that come from a kid his age.

There was something in the air last night. It was pushing epic at certain points. Cooley had someone kicked out during a song, never missed a beat, actually kicked him out on key, it was the epitome of a "Cooley moment". The energy & vibe in the room all night was special, and even assholery couldn't touch it.

The 2 songs w Lydia were fantastic. Her harmony on Bulldozers & Dirt was gorgeous.

Got The Perilous Night again (Patterson said it's getting recorded & released as a single soon) and I LOVE it already.

Last night was very much a "kick you in the teeth show". DBT hit the stage going full bore & didn't really let up on the gas for over 2.5 hours.

Sounds like a great show, but must ask a silly question: Does Cooley ever not play "Marry Me?" Put another way, since I've seen the Truckers a paltry 31 times, how many times have I heard "Marry Me?" (I'm guessing high twenties.)

It makes me want to move, too, but it's hard to get citizenship in New Zealand.

ETA: But seriously, I liked that both Patterson's new ones are uptempo rockers. I'd like a big blast of RAWK from him, too, but I'll take what I can get.

I was able to find setlists online for 28 of my last 30 DBT shows. The band played Marry Me at 15 of those 28 shows.

I'm with you, I'm just saying that all the pining for DBT (and Jason) to go back to the 2001-2004 big rock sound just isn't something I think either are doing anymore

I wasn't thinking about that at all. I was thinking about: That Man I Shot. The Fourth Night Of My Drinking. Used To Be A Cop. Pauline Hawkins. Patterson didn't have one in that territory on American Band. Those are all big favorites.

Pauline Hawkins might be one of his most under-rated efforts. Love that one!

This sounds terrific. Thanks so much for recording and sharing. Just realized I was probably tapping my foot a little bit too hard for the office environment during "The Righteous Path." Sounds like they were on fire on Saturday night!
