Sheesh! That set'll get your attention.
But inquiring minds are dying to know: How did the strange brew of DBT and the Hamptons work out?

What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Re: Westhampton Beach
Ahhh--the Hamptons. $14 for clam chowder. Anyway onto the show. The venue was just so perfect. Comfortable seats (brass plaques on the back of each one with the donors name), clean rugs (I was asked quite politely by an usher to please take care not to spill my beverage), and impeccable sound (Money can't buy you love (well...) but it can get you one kick ass sounding room. Comment by the band afterwards was you could have recorded a live album by the way it sounded on stage. The crowd was what one would expect in a tony, not easily accessible summer seaside community. Age wise it skewed older than a typical rock show (no--I did not see anyone with a walker). Heathens could be spotted here and there but there was a significant contingent of couples. Older guys with younger women and older guys with older women trying to look like the younger ones. The crowd stayed seated until the end of the show except for a few folks over on the side. However, I did noticed quite a bit of head bobbing and there was very enthusiastic applause between the songs. Seemed to me that a good portion of the crowd were folks who come out to hear music and support the venue even though they might be unfamiliar with who is playing. Some of our rock brethren should be so open minded. The pre show announcement to please respect the artist and don't fly your phones was taken to heart and I could see people actually listening to the songs. There was some slight up front stage activity during Ronnie and Neil and Patterson said "C'mon up, we won't bite" but the kabosh seemed to be put on that by Cooley approaching the mic "I don't bite is probably the worst pick up line I ever came up with". Finally Patterson said "Get up motherfuckers" during LTBR and everyone did, shook their asses through the next song, then sat for A&F and went home. Oh yeah--how was the show? I'll just refer you to Bubba's recent reviews but yeah, the boys have been slaying it since the release of AB. 14 fucking dollars for clam chowder. Sheesh!
