DBT makes their return to Cleveland for the first time since 2012.

Should be an interesting show at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Tickets on Sale June 1st. More details to follow.

I knew it was a long time, but didn't realize it was THAT long until I was looking though previous tour dates. I guess it makes sense because the last two times I attended a Rock Show, we made the trip to Columbus to see them. I am assuming they will be playing the Plaza outside the Rock Hall. They do a summer concert series there and it is a cool set up. If it rains, they move it inside to the Atrium. Really looking forward to it, especially after reading the reviews of the other shows.

In for sure. Wondering if there will be others on the bill? I thought I read somewhere something about remaining lineup announced soon (but maybe that just meant for the other dates in the summer concert series?).

Assuming the weather is nice and this is an outdoor show on the plaza, can anyone with experience with HOF shows speak to whether or not this would be kind friendly? The early start time, food trucks, etc indicate to me that it might be an okay show to take my son to, so I'm just curious what anyone's thoughts might be in that regard.

I have seen one other outdoor show at the Rock Hall, Deer Tick back in 2010. If it is anything like that one, I would say it is certainly kid friendly. If the weather holds and it stays outdoors, then I would say it would probably be "kind" friendly as well!

thanks, Mr. McWeen! Both kid and kind friendly, sounds like fun!

Irrespective of venue, if a Deer Tick show was kid friendly then a DBT show at the same location should certainly be as well.

If it's a 4:00 show with an opener, I'd guess 5:30ish? At least I hope so. Blue Oyster Cult is playing the House of Blues that night and I'd like to see the Truckers, then walk a mile to see BOC immediately afterward.

More information has been added for the Rock Hall Show. Additional local acts have been announced and each ticket includes admission to the Rock Hall itself.
Patterson and Spooner will be playing an acoustic set before the show at 3:00 p.m. for those who choose to purchase the VIP Tickets. As long as the weather holds out, this has the ingredients for a great show.

IN! Never been to the hall, so this gives me an excuse to drive up from NC. Plus I get to see Queen Friday night!

The hall says live music 1pm-11pm with 4 bands on the bill, so I'm guessing DBT goes on about 8 or 8;30

It's just a little bit more than "a 26 mile drive", right!
Why not.

So who is in for Saturday at the Rock Hall?
We will be heading down around 2:00 to catch the acoustic set with Patterson and Spooner.
Looks like it will be an all-day event. Trying to get a few more details as to set times from an acquaintance that works at the Hall.
If I can get more details regarding when each act is scheduled to play, I will post it.

Some new info has been posted including set times. Truckers starting at 9pm with Spooner joining them as well. VIP tickets sold out but still GA left which includes Rock Hall admission. Weather not looking too good right now. I emailed the Hall to see if it will be moved indoors if there's inclement weather but have not heard back yet. Will post if I hear anything.

I am attempting to capture the live stream. If all goes well I'll have it available ASAP. It has given me some issues so I am not sure how it will turn out. I'm having to capture audio and video separately and will sync them together afterwards. I don't know if the stream will be available to watch after the live ends but if it is I may attempt to recapture properly.

Today's Facebook stream from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Spooner Oldham and Patterson Hood is available for stream or download at the link below. Full video of the whole thing or see the accompanying folder for split tracks of audio only in HQ-MP3 format.

FYI: The video doesn't actually start until about the 16:30 mark. It was easier to just upload the entire capture instead of cropping and re-encoding. Full video is only around 279MB.

Enjoy!

90 minutes, no encore, faith rekindled.

The best part is I get to sleep in my own bed for the first time in 7 years after a rawk show.

God bless the Drive-by Truckers.

Unbelievable! What an amazing day. From the acoustic set hearing Spooner sing I'm Your Puppet to People Who Died to close the Rock Show. I'm speechless. Wow!!! Thank You DBT.
