Re: Shows you want to see
10 days in Athens - book end weekends - weekend 1 - Camper/Cracker camp in. Weekend 2 - DBT Homecoming. I mean they are only a few weeks apart now...
Pretty sure I would need some detoxification afterwards, but this would be the quintessential music experience for me..second only to the untouchable pinnacle of DBT at Levon's and the Ramble that followed (there is just no way on earth that will ever be surpassed)

Re: Shows you want to see
Someday I'd love to see a "DBT Family" benefit show where DBT plays an opening set, then anyone who's been in the band over the years plays a mini-set of songs from whatever their current project might be, then there's a superjam at the end.
I'd also like to have a head full of hair, but I realize that ain't going to happen, either.

Yeah! I'd do this. Camper Van Beethoven is one of the very few bands I'd cheerfully go see several nights in a row.blessedcurse wrote:10 days in Athens - book end weekends - weekend 1 - Camper/Cracker camp in. Weekend 2 - DBT Homecoming. I mean they are only a few weeks apart now...

The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

That would be beyond epic... they need to make this happen.blessedcurse wrote:10 days in Athens - book end weekends - weekend 1 - Camper/Cracker camp in. Weekend 2 - DBT Homecoming. I mean they are only a few weeks apart now...

Re: Shows you want to see
I'd love to see a run like MMJ did at the Brooklyn Bowl several years back, playing a full album each night as a first set, followed by a mix of other songs in the second set. MMJ played five straight nights, playing Tennessee Fire --> Evil Urges.
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Pretty sure that was at Terminal 5Zip City wrote:I'd love to see a run like MMJ did at the Brooklyn Bowl several years back, playing a full album each night as a first set, followed by a mix of other songs in the second set. MMJ played five straight nights, playing Tennessee Fire --> Evil Urges.

I'd love the band to do a two or three night stand somewhere in the UK or maybe the Paradiso in Amsterdam.

Which is the worst venue in NYC-by far. I went to the Z show and have never gone back to that venue.

Three nites at the Paradiso will likely lead to my divorce but likely would be worth it.dogstar wrote:I'd love the band to do a two or three night stand somewhere in the UK or maybe the Paradiso in Amsterdam.

Re: Shows you want to see
Great minds think alike! I was first gonna say having any capable band play MMM but DBT, that's even better! As it's getting warmer here, windows will be open soon and time for my annual rite of spring, giving my meathead neighbor a nice MMM listening partyFlea wrote:I'd like to see the boys cover Metal Machine Music.

Re: Shows you want to see
Saw two nights of Black Crowes at the Paradiso and there wasn't even a threat of divorce, as my wife was just as much into it as I was!!!beantownbubba wrote:Three nites at the Paradiso will likely lead to my divorce but likely would be worth it.dogstar wrote:I'd love the band to do a two or three night stand somewhere in the UK or maybe the Paradiso in Amsterdam.
I gotta find and post the picture of us and Tomer taken outside of the Paradiso

I stand proudly with Swamp & Jonicont.

You stand proudly being ignorant of the best live band on the planet? To each their own I guess

I have given them enough of a listen to know they are not for me. I find Yimmy annoying, like Tweedy.Zip City wrote:You stand proudly being ignorant of the best live band on the planet? To each their own I guess
