Re: San Diego 10/13
Looooooongtime lurker. I will be at the Solana Beach show with my wife and bro.
Totally pumped to see the set.
The Chargers have a home game tonight against dem Broncos so I'm curious to see what the crowd will be.
Side note, I moved to SD in 2001 and my first DBT show was Rock Opera songs played opening for LosLonely Boys down in Ocean Beach.
Awesome then; awesome now.

Short BellyUp show recap:
-- it was sold out!
-- I enjoyed Lydia Loveless as opener; pretty motley band and she called out some people near the front for checking the baseball game on their phones (it was funny the way she did it)
-- Truckers were all in black and looking great
-- I'm bad with setlists; they played a lot of the new record and choice other cuts including righteous, sinkhole, shitshots, Ronnie/neil, LTBR followed by Zip. I think they closed with Hell No and it did the sign of the times peel off. "What it means" was good; I really like the way it is played on the album, including the hand claps toward the end which I think of as a call for unity. I thought the audience might fill in those claps; they didn't but my wife and I did. It was fun.
-- I thought Cooley's vocals were mixed a little quiet; I was really happy with how the keys were mixed in the sound
-- I truly loved when Jay came off keys and they had the 3 guitar attack going
Great show. I hope they come back soon. Out.

Re: San Diego 10/13
Agree with the assessment. I believe this was the first time they have sold out San Diego. Good sign that the place of the defectors is being filled with new fans.
By my recollection they played all of the new album except Sun Don't Shine and Baggage. Of the old songs, in addition to those listed above I recall Two Daughters, Autumn, WWW, Birthday Boy and a superlative version Living Bubba. Probably some others that the tequila is masking.

Based off Facebook,my "Zip City" was at this show. I had no clue she was a DBT fan.

Ironically enough, I'm the one who still lives here.
