9/25/16 Sioux Falls, SD
I once got pulled over for speeding in Sioux Falls, but the cop let me off with a warning (it was starting to rain, and I think he wanted to get back in his car). That's the sum total of my life experience in Sioux Falls. If anybody else on here is going (and maybe has a pregame suggestion), I'd love to hear it!

All I know of Sioux Falls is a massacre took place there in '79. True story.

My life as a pickle lighter is pretty much complete. Sorry Flea, but I'm never coming home now.

It's great, but the constant inability of any iteration of Fargo to be geographically accurate with its filming bugs me.Smitty wrote:Yep. Finally got around to watching it this past week.Iowan wrote:Fargo season 2 reference?
In the movie, Brainerd is show as being out on the prairie, but it's totally north woods. By the same token in the show, LuVerne is out on the prairie, but they make it look like the woods. And the Gerhardt compound is supposed to be an hour west of Fargo, yet it's shown in a rugged coniferous forest.
For as well written as it is, I just think they could do better on this front. I'm such a pedantic fuck about this, I know.

What to do in Sioux Falls? Hang out with Blammo, a member here and bass player extraordinaire for the Lydia Loveless band and hit the Patron.
Re: 9/25/16 Sioux Falls, SD
Oh yeah, you can also hang out with Patterson and Jay too...

It would be like a show about Muscle Shoals making it look like the swamps/Gulf Coast.Smitty wrote:Iowan wrote:Smitty wrote:

I'd like to thank Pickle for generously donating some of his (her?) precious fire to light one of my beloved grape cigars.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
See you down the road, Pickle.
have a good time all the time

Re: 9/25/16 Sioux Falls, SD
no idea how this ever came about, but in high school the word "pickle" was used as a term for those who didn't drink/do drugs, those who were hardcore into Young Life and stuff like that
yeah, I know, "Cool story, bro! Tell it again!"
