9/24/16 Minneapolis, MN
I'm excited to be back at First Avenue in Minneapolis. I know some Wisconsinites will be there, which is always fun. Anyone else?

I came this close to making this show as I have a meeting in MN this week but when it was changed from Thursday to Tuesday any chance of going to this show fell apart. Look for my buddy Lester as he'll be there.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

I'm not as bad as points south. We were getting it pretty hard Wednesday, and now it's on it's way to Cedar Rapids. It's way too wet to farm though, so First Ave it is.Duke Silver wrote:are you under water, iowan? sounds pretty bad where my in laws live in richland county.
Only bummer is I decided to start one of the 30 day eat healthy/don't drink things assuming I was going to be in the field for the next 30 days (I always pack healthy lunches and barely drink anyways when harvesting), so no pre-game burgers and beers for me. But lots of rock.

Had a great time at First Avenue. I got to hang with GW, CG, and Barley_Oakley. Saw another great DBT show! It's been so liberating getting out of Flea's pocket and getting to travel around the country!

By the way, I may need a ride back East for the November shows if anyone wants to help a pickle out.

Re: 9/24/16 Minneapolis, MN
We got there right as LL started and weren't able to get anywhere near the 3DD contingent, which fucking sucks. We had to stand next to the most annoying group I've ever been around at a DBT show. They were drunk frat boys from MIssissippi (they informed us between every song) who yelled "SWEET HOME" between every song, many couldn't keep from dancing into us. They finally moved in after getting chewed out by pretty much everyone.
Didn't ruin the night though. What a show! Loved the revamped Man I Shot (was certain they were gonna tag Ain't Too Pretty At All). It was full throttle pretty much all night. Patterson was absolutely on fire. It was Cooley's birthday, thus GG Allin (they played it at First Ave in '14). Was shocked to only see two songs from DD, but it didn't matter. Sign O' The Times was a nice tribute.
Extremely high energy all night. Top 5 of my 15ish shows.

It was a good show. First Ave needs to fix their sound though, on the balcony it was rough.
