Homecoming - 2017 PLEASE READ

Patterson Hood : I probably shouldn't comment here but pending some unforeseen event changing things, I'd suspect it'll be more or less same wknd as last couple of years. This time we'll be in middle of heavy touring cycle so it should be meaner than shit.


That would put Homecoming on 2/9-11 or 2/16-18

Either way the four day weekend and close proximity to Valentine's Day may have me good and divorced. Hell, there's lots of fish in the sea, but only one American Band. See you at the Rock Show.

I hate to break it to you, but (from recent experience) turning 40 isn't a 'possibility'. It's coming. Now, the 'possiblity' of being at the Rock Show for the event? We shouldn't be having that discussion either.

Even when it was in January it was always on the weekend preceding a Monday holiday. Since it's been in February that's been Presidents day which is 2/20/17 making the likely Homecoming dates 2/16, 17 & 18. Patterson indicated that barring an unforeseen event that was the weekend. I think you'd be ok in assuming those dates, for now.

Never the best of timing for me since it was moved from January to February, but this can still work.

I do hope they announce the dates earlier if they are changing the grand scheme of things, or at least narrow the range - I can't block out months of dates and things are already getting scheduled for the new year for me...but I know I am only a small fish in the pond.

Well no, actually schools are off for one whole week mid february, you're supposed to take your familiy skiing in the mointains, not go on self-indulging ego-trip.
