After Tornadoes, Cooley & Hood appeared to be done---they were saying thanks & good-byes and guitars were put in cases. Then Patterson started talking in Cooley's ear. Guitars were pulled back out and the crowd went fucking nuts. What had been a pretty respectful, laid-back acoustic show took on more of the vibe of the full frontal Rock Show. We all crowded in right up against the stage, then Cooley, Patterson and all the rest of us sang "Marry Me", "Steve McQueen" and "Love Like This" to shut it down.

We got some harmonica from Cooley on Sands of Iwo Jima, World of Hurt and What It Means. It was so quiet during Space City that you could hear the insects chirping in the background.

What an amazing night.

Amazing night. There's talk of them playing in the Little House (50 seat house on the property) next year. Maybe two nights. Here's hoping it happens again.
