Interesting that there is a tote bag (amongst the pre-order items) featuring Wes's art... (though it doesn't appear to specifically mention "American Band"...Zip City wrote:So the Wes Freed album cover streak is broken
I was thinking that was more of a Patterson song. Probably about the Duggar kid.Kevidently wrote:"Kinky Hypocrite" sounds more Cooley than Hood, but I'm ready to believe different. I try not to listen to live tracks until the studio version's out (unless I'm there), so this only the second time I've heard "Surrender Under Protest." Well, it's been an hour, so it's the 12th time.
Ha! I hope so.Iowan wrote:Probably about the Duggar kid.
The DBT Facebook account said there's cool Wes art on the inside, so, presumably he did the gatefold.gepman wrote:Interesting that there is a tote bag (amongst the pre-order items) featuring Wes's art... On second look, maybe it is the cover of the 7" in the bundle...?
Have fun with your scratched record that comes 2 weeks lateMarkalanbishop wrote:I always swear I won't do it again, but I just pre-ordered from the Truckers' website anyway. Couldn't resist the bundle and red vinyl. I'm weak.
Certainly looks like the cover for the 7" is a Wes painting.uncle rickey wrote:The DBT Facebook account said there's cool Wes art on the inside, so, presumably he did the gatefold.gepman wrote:Interesting that there is a tote bag (amongst the pre-order items) featuring Wes's art... What I generally do is go ahead and buy the record on the release date from my local record store, listen to it for a couple of weeks, and when the pre-order comes in the mail I give the used record as a gift to some unsuspecting friend. It's a win-win situation.Zip City wrote:Have fun with your scratched record that comes 2 weeks lateMarkalanbishop wrote:I always swear I won't do it again, but I just pre-ordered from the Truckers' website anyway. No, that's a GG Allin show.Iowan wrote:Pre-order's never made sense to me. It seems like you're getting paid to get shit on. I buy it on Amazon the day it comes out, and download it immediately. This one will be well-timed to my "sit in a cab listening to music all day" part of the year. I love the sound of vinyl, but don't get a lot of time for it so I stick to electronic, I guess.
Now bookmarked next to my YouTube Audio converter... Thanks!Clams wrote:This is great news. Love the flag at half mast cover pic and the record title. Love the Ann Powers write up on NPR too.
Also, don't forget your soundcloud to mp3 converter/downloader.

Sun Don't Shine is Patterson.Duke Silver wrote:Do we know who wrote Kinky Hypocrite and Sun Don't Shine?
