Love the Freed art but I absolutely love that cover. Perfect for the tracks (at least the ones we know of) that will be on it. Looks like West Coast tour dates were just posted recently as well.

Awesome. Was just thinking that if the September rumors were true, an announcement would be coming soon.

"Kinky Hypocrite" sounds more Cooley than Hood, but I'm ready to believe different. I try not to listen to live tracks until the studio version's out (unless I'm there), so this only the second time I've heard "Surrender Under Protest." Well, it's been an hour, so it's the 12th time.

Interesting that there is a tote bag (amongst the pre-order items) featuring Wes's art... (though it doesn't appear to specifically mention "American Band"...
On second look, maybe it is the cover of the 7" in the bundle...?

I was thinking that was more of a Patterson song. Probably about the Duggar kid.

I always swear I won't do it again, but I just pre-ordered from the Truckers' website anyway. Couldn't resist the bundle and red vinyl. I'm weak.

The DBT Facebook account said there's cool Wes art on the inside, so, presumably he did the gatefold.

Certainly looks like the cover for the 7" is a Wes painting.

What I generally do is go ahead and buy the record on the release date from my local record store, listen to it for a couple of weeks, and when the pre-order comes in the mail I give the used record as a gift to some unsuspecting friend. It's a win-win situation. :D

Pre-order's never made sense to me. It seems like you're getting paid to get shit on. I buy it on Amazon the day it comes out, and download it immediately. This one will be well-timed to my "sit in a cab listening to music all day" part of the year. I love the sound of vinyl, but don't get a lot of time for it so I stick to electronic, I guess.

This is great news. Love the flag at half mast cover pic and the record title. Love the Ann Powers write up on NPR too.

Also, don't forget your soundcloud to mp3 converter/downloader. :)

Love the cover. Album pre-ordered. Red vinyl looks pretty cool. Ready for my next fix.

Wow. Cannot wait. Love the album cover and title if indeed that is it. There had better be Wes Freed art somewhere inside however! So, judging from the posts here, etc. The songwriting credits are 6-5 Patterson? Similar to EO- I like it!
