Brooklyn March 6-7

Post by Clams »

Two weeks out, we need a thread. I'm in for night 2.*

*You New Yorkers are slacking. Pretty bad when a Philly guy has to start the Brooklyn thread.

What can anyone say about the venue? I read capacity is very small at 550. Looking forward to night 1.

Great sound on the floor. Elevated areas on the side are a great place to see the show if you're on the rail. 1st balcony on the rail is good. Upper balcony sucks
Always go to the show

IN for both nights - looking forward to seeing them at this venue. Dirt Underneath Tour was the last time they were there.

In for both nights. I'm told that the hall is much like the Bowery Ballroom, with a capacity of 550. Should make for a cozy rock show.

In for both nights. It's a great small hall. Roof will be blown off.

In for night 2. Slim chance at night 1, but unless tickets become available, it is "no chance"

Or as Melina Mercouri might say, "never on a sunday."

For anyone going to the Sunday show I highly recommend this event. This is my favorite beer event each year, hands down. Mugs cant be more that a short
walk from the venue. I'll be at Day 1 on Saturday. There will probably be left overs for those of us going to the Monday show.

Anyone else remember the last time they played Brooklyn, at the Brooklyn Bowl? That was a monster show. Lots of craziness that night.

The one where the random guy took a running dive off the stage into the crowd?
I just want to stay in that better time and place....

Actually it was Damon who took the running leap off the stage to corral the crazy dude who had been warned a few times previously by Cooley. I also remember that they opened with the southern thing. Awesome show.

That was also the day that Clarence Clemons died and the preshow music by the matador was all of Springsteen's best saxophone solo songs.

I remember the guy running all the way from the back of the stage and then off; flying over the crowd and then Damon going after him. Maybe I'm suffering early onset  ? And now that you've mentioned it Dr. John, I do remember Patterson ripping his shirt open at the end. Thanks!

Howdy. Have an extra ticket for Sunday night. It's yours for the lesser of face value or the cost of a couple shots of whiskey.

Any takers?

I may take you up on this. Got a Brooklyn friend who's been waffling on whether she wants to join us or not. Will shoot you a PM if she gets off the fence. If somebody else beats her to the punch that's fine too.
