Is there a "best setlist ever" thread/ranking? I seem to recall one years back....or maybe that was "best show" (they are different)

To be honest Thursday's show transcended the setlist (well other than opening with Shut Up & Get On the Plane and closing with Angles & Fuselage...that was bad ass). To me the energy & vibe was just off the charts all night. I personally think the band came out and saw the first two rows full of 3DD'ers and other longtime heAthens and took it to another level :D

I can't really put my finger on what made Thursday's show so fantastic but I suspect if you had been there you'd agree with me. The setlist was fantastic, but it was more than that. I'm glad I was lucky enough to catch it. And really this lineup has been on a roll for a few years now. I'm not sure they know how to play a bad show at this point.

Or hell, it could have just been the magic of the fucking pickle lighter...

The pickle lighter should be the rock show version of Flat Stanley. Pass it on person-to-person or thru the mail and photograph it at every show. Can we make this happen?
I think a separate thread is in order. Who's holding Flea's pickle?

I've uploaded some videos to youtube, you can find them by searching cats cradle 3-18-16. I was a little worried about the audio because the iPhone 6S has an issue where if there is heavy bass it will compress the midrange way too much but it came out ok here. I can say that I thought this show needed more front stage lighting, it seemed backlit way too much, even in person it was like you were seeing them in shadows more often than not. But yea the show was awesome!

Jeff: Thanks for posting the You Tube videos. I'm watching one now. Looks and sounds good. You were right in the middle of the action! Thanks again, Tim

Thanks, I also added some from the 2014 show in Wilmington. So was anyone in this thread right there near me last Friday night?

Edited to add: The one bad thing about the Wilmington videos is the mains were firing out past the front of the stage so the vocals were a little low compared to the sound I was getting off the stage but oh well, it still captured the awesomeness of the moment.

Yep I saw you filming Friday. You were right behind Mr & Mrs PA Heathen. We were about 3 people over to the left. We were at that Wilmington show too. DBT played White Knuckle, WV for the first time in about a decade at that show.

Thanks John. Only a few songs in....but....wow.

That WWW and Jay's old school Steinway-esqe piano. Holy shite, I want more of that. Love the organ sound, but when he hits some of those Leon Russell notes....BOOM!

(anyone know how to play the dropbox file as the whole show instead of having to start each song separately?)

I had to download it and import it into iTunes. I don't think there's a way to do it natively.
