Nice find, Bill! We've got 5 months to figure it out, but I'd say we'll probably hit this. ;)

That is at a newly renovated older theatre in downtown. Should be a good time, hope to make at least one.

In for me and the Mr.

Night 1: Row B, seats 206 & 207
Night 2: Row A, seats 204 & 205

I'm looking forward to visiting Birmingham again. Last time I was there it was 1996, and maybe this was not the best time to visit the city.
When the lights came up we all went home but never quite the same.

Disappointed that I'll only be able to make 2 nights of the 3. That's what I get for jumping the gun on flights.

Do we wanna try to set up a 3DD get together for Friday or Saturday afternoon somewhere in downtown area? I'll be happy to scout out a place between now and then if folks are interested.

Sounds fun. Saturday would probably be better as I don't know when we'll be getting to town on Friday.

Saturday would probably be better for dealing with traffic downtown. On weekdays, it gets busy down there in terms of finding places to park, but it shouldn't be that busy on Saturday.

Are y'all skipping the Thursday show, TC?

Unfortunately yes. With work and vacation days we couldn't make it work.

Life gets in the way sometimes.

We'll figure a 3DD gathering on Saturday April 9th at lunch-ish time. I'll find a place and report back with details in a week or two. (I have a couple of locations in mind, but if anyone familiar with Bham has a preferred suggestion, feel free to throw it out there.)

On our last visit to B'ham we absolutely loved Saw's BBQ. I can't remember which location it was offhand, but knowing the eating and drinking sensibilities of our little group here, I think this might be a good option for a gathering.

I love Saw's as well. I've been there 2x so far and would be happy to eat there again.
Any other quality BBQ places in Birmingham to visit would be great to hear about also.

Dreamland and Jim & Nicks are good, but not sure if they'd be ideal for a gathering. Haven't tried Saw's.

After looking at venues for the 3DD gathering, our best bet for a BBQ place in downtown area is Jim & Nick's at 5 Points South. It's on 11th Ave South between 19th and 20th Streets. Address is 1908 11th Ave South/Birmingham AL 35205. Phone is 205-320-1060. Let's figure noon until 3 pm on Saturday, April 9th.

https://www.jimnnicks.com

Everyone is welcome--I'll post closer to show dates to try to get an approximate head count.

Is anyone going on Thursday night? TC, I was hoping to catch up with you and Lurleen. I met her at the Handy Fest show in Florence a few years ago and really enjoyed talking with her.

My father-in-law and I just bought tickets for all three nights. Warning...avalible seats are limited. I don't think I've ever seen a seated DBT show so I'm curious. See you in April.

We got the balcony two nights I believe because seats were so limited.
