I don't care to rent a car myself, so I plan on taking the shuttle, but It'd be foolish not to ask. I'm a fairly decent conversationalist/navigator, and I promise to at least try to not fart in the car.

So far the weather for Homecoming week looks typical, in the 60's early in the week, in the 40's on Wednesday and settling in at about 50 on show days. No ice, no snow.

I've been remiss in posting for a while because I've been getting my new solo practice up and running. Lots of BS to deal with, lots of distractions. Today I realized I hadn't booked a room! Fortunately the Courtyard was still available so that was a relief. Missed the DBT rate but that's on me. Anyway, I'm extremely pumped for next week. Now that this lineup has another year of hard touring under its belt I'm expecting some musical fireworks, especially in light of how stunning IGTBA sounds. I ordered a box of cigars today so whoever is so inclined I'll be glad to provide and we can sit out by the pool and drink, smoke, and shoot the shit. Also bringing some nice single malt scotch and some Patron. Gonna be a party!!! Only bad news (for me) is that none of my daughters can make it this year because they're all working, but they said to tell everyone hello. See you Heathens soon.

A little different for me this year. Will be staying at the courtyard this year after staying at the Hilton Garden the last two years. My wife loves it but they went up on their rates for the third straight year and it just didn't make sense anymore. Usually I never see much of y'all except at the shows. I'll see more of the crew this year and that's good. I'm bringing a jug of white lightning with me. If anybody is feeling game they are welcome to some.
