We just booked 4 nights at the Holiday Inn Express (right across the street from the Dazed). If you call them and mention DBT they'll discount the rate from $117 to $79. It's a nice place, we've stayed there the last 4 years.

The father/daughter dance was Mercy Buckets and the bride/groom dance was the Allman Brothers. And I got to sit in with the band at the reception. I raised 'em right! Also, she and her husband got me a pair of drumsticks with "I will bring you buckets of mercy" engraved on one and "And hold your hand while you're crossing the street" on the other. Talk about a prized possession!!

Anyway, where's the list? I'm looking at you Dr. John!

Went great, thanks. Took your advice and just ad libbed it and spoke from the heart. Held my shit together all weekend and did my crying in private! But I was definitely staring through my own tail lights and gathering speed.

I bought tickets for all 3 nights for myself and a buddy who's also a big Trucker's fan. We're gonna drive up from Austin. I've never been to Georgia and am looking forward to the rock shows at the 40 Watt, good food, and a little exploring of the history of the town and state. I know there's plenty. I've already been looking at the hotel recommendations here on the forum. At 48, I've still got a shitload of party in me but can't quite decide yet between a keg in the bathtub and the more upscale alternatives.

Regardless, I'm excited about the trip and hope to meet some of y'all there! I hope the winter weather will be nice that weekend.

I think the Delines are done for the moment. My local venue has a Richmond Fontaine gig booked for next April so guess Willy's back on that horse.

I'm very happy that Will Johnson is doing two of the shows.
