Bloomington, IL -- 11/17

Post by Mr. B »

After last nights' epic show, pretty sure I am going to man-up and make the drive down to Bloomington for Tuesday's rawk show. Who else is in?

In!! Along with several friends and family. Might be my favorite venue and finally got a rock show there. Should be great.

Well, it will be good to see at least one friendly face. See you there.

I'd bet money my buddy Dan and his wife will be down on the rail.

Look for the drunk skinny guy with long blonde hair and a brunette. Hopefully he behaves himself.

Fantastic show last night, probably one of the top 5 that I have witnessed in the 15 years of shows I've attended. It certainly helped that I had a prime spot on the rail and was being delivered Bell's and pizza slices by a good looking waitress. :D A great, friendly crowd near the rail also helps. And the Castle is a nice place to see a show. Of course the Dexateens just rocked the hell out of the place, what a treat to see them open the last 4 shows. The brutal 2.5 hour post-show drive back to Chicago was worth it for this one.

The band came out firing on all cylinders and never stopped. Patterson and Cooley seemed to be in great moods the entire evening. Could not ask for a better set list (well, I guess we could ask for One of These Days or Uncle Frank . . . :D ). There was no encore -- the band just kept playing (2 hours, 15 mins) without taking a break.

Maybe I've slipped into some type of alternate reality, but WTF is "24"?

I figured it was the first one third of 72.

Yep, it was 72. Not sure how the hell I ended up turning that to 24 on the set list. Given that it was the first song, I can't blame alcohol . .
