Someone who went pointed out this was the full bill:
Lurrie Bell
Kenny Neal
Swamp Dogg
Funky Meters (with Art), Allen Toussaint & Irma Thomas
Drive By Truckers
Damn! It's not like I could have gotten down there, but at least I would have felt worse about missing it.
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Huh? Where were those artists playing? DBT was at the Joy Theatre with a single opener Palmyra filling in for the Brent Best who was taken Ill and had to cancel the run. Sounds like you are describing a festival of which there were a couple in town.

I will take this discrepancy up with the somewhat responsible party!

the somewhat responsible party wrote:The last act at the fest ended at 8:30, we had a six block walk to the concert venue for a 9 start. Even had time to stop for coffee and dessert. The food at the festival was very very good. Really tasty lamb chops, ribs etc. and free booze for those of us who saw fit to pay for VIP seating at a 'free' event.
And now you know...the fest of the story. ;-)
