Got my wristbands; ready to rock.

Trying to decide if I'll head down Friday night as well. It's been a few years since I've seen Leftover Salmon.

Saturday is gonna be a blast. Roadkill Ghost Choir is outstanding. I can hear the music from my front porch, so I'll probably walk over for at least parts of both days.

Had the unexpected but distinct pleasure to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Swamp!! Just an excellent day of music. The boys were killing it. Big and enthusiastic crowd. Couldn't begin to attempt a setlist. Rock on.

I had a couple of first timers standing next to me. They really got hooked during Sinkhole and started asking me the name of every song after that. They got some good ol belly laughs during a few songs thanks to the boys' smart turn of phrase. It was nice to see some new fans being made.

Let's not discount J Roddy or Shovels and Rope, either. Great sets. Bummed that I missed T Hardy.

That was the last song. All you missed was the crowd shouting over that idiot Red Stripe guy with a raucous DBT chant.

A little tip for next time: D-B-T and Fuck-Red-Stripe have the same number of syllables.

Seven Handle Circus--kinda over this whole folk rock approach. Not bad but just meh.
Southern Culture on the Skids--great stuff. Really good guitarist.
Hardy and the Hardknocks--Always liked him. Only criticism is I thought the drummer was trying to steal the show. Tone it down, you're not in Nirvana.
J. Roddy--they bring it all the time and yesterday was no exception.
Shovels & Rope--still on the fence with them. At some point you have to write songs with memorable melodies. But they were awesome yesterday.
DBT--second row right behind the Swamps who were holding down the rail. Really loud, really clean, really tight. They are so dialed in right now. Cooley and Jay were just fucking shredding all night long. Hope someone can post a setlist because I was way too stoned to remember. I needed that Rock Show.

BTW, the $40 "VIP" ticket was the best money I've spent in a while. Had shade, seats, bars. Great day.

The pleasure was ours Mark. It was a great day! We really needed to get rawked and the boys did not disappoint. Although I kinda knew you'd be there, we had a
nice surprise as we were looking for a place to enjoy our favorite habit. I like to stand in the middle of the crowd and as we made our way looking for a spot, I told
the misses to go stand in front of the tall guy with the straw hat. As we stepped in front of him and we all made eye contact it was none other than Athens Joe.
What a great surprise. Also got to see our dear friends Adam and Holly along with GMU and Strutter. Nice see you again Zoid even though I don't remember the last
time. While I wasn't familiar with most of the other bands, SCOTS sold me on the show as I have been a fan for about 15 years. They did not disappoint either.
I really liked JRW & the Biz and S & R was really good if not intense at times. I'm not big on festivals but this one was set up pretty nice.
This is what I remember.
One of these Days
Living Bubba (when I first read about this festival I told Marina they would play this and I wanted to be there)
Gravitys Gone
Lookout Mt.
Where the Devil
Sinkhole
EO
I'm pretty sure that's how it started. I know we got a killer version of Goodsfield Rd.
WWW
Righteous Path
Uncle Frank
World of Hurt
Marry Me
Zip City
Grand Canyon
and the rest as they say is uh er uh, well somebodies history somewhere?

It's all coming back to me now! Just today I was wondering if they played Marry Me or if I just dreamt it. Really, a stunningly good set.
