DBT @ The Hangout Festival 5/16
The Hangout Festival just announced the schedule. Truckers have a great spot in the schedule, 6pm on Saturday on the biggest stage at the festival. Pretty cool deal for them. I doubt many on here are going, but if anyone is, lets get together.

Should be the setting about the time they wrap up!

The Mrs and I will be there. We live in the same county as this fest and go every year. I was there the last time DBT played. It was an epic set for a fest and was my first time to meet many of you crazy 3DD folks. Here is the thread from 2011. http://www.threedimesdown.com/forum/vie ... ulf+shores

We will have to try to get together for a beer!
Re: DBT @ The Hangout Festival 5/16
I'm planning on being there. Beach and band - one of my favorite combinations.

Great to see the last minute link to the feed show up on Facebook! It's been months since we've seen DBT, and this is a great surprise on a Saturday night. Streaming from the laptop to the AppleTV playing through the Definitive towers. Sounds snd looks great!

Hey bnzz had a great time jamming with your crew yesterday. That was a smoking set from the boys. I hope the webcast is made available at some point.bnzz wrote:That's funny jonicont. Re: DBT @ The Hangout Festival 5/16
Just a few thoughts as I was watching the stream last night:
1. Cooley can really pull off white pants and an Hawaiian shirt.
2. Goddamn they're killing it.
3. The quality of the stream was really good, the mix was decent with a bit too much compression but it's a stream so not like they have much choice. Overall excellent quality.
4. Is it me or is Cooley having more fun then usual?
5. I know we all have our favorite lineups and of course there's the always the ghost of the Isbell-era lineup...but isn't about time to slide this current lineup into at least a tie in the top slot? They are tight, Jay is just phenomenal on several instruments, Matt is Matt...they've been at a high level for at least two years and have maintained it. And most importantly, unless they're all great actors, they are having a great deal of fun on stage.
6. I wasn't really that excited for the live album (they are what they are) or even the expanded live boxset....but I am now! If the live album approaches the performance level of Hangout we're all going to be pleased.
7. I haven't seen DBT since Athens in Feb....I'm more than ready for a RAWK SHOW again.

Sounds like a smoking set! EZB seems to be setting a scorching pace on the songs I have heard so far.

OK, able to watch the first few songs before crashing after a great TV night (GoT, Nurse Jackie, Mad Men finale, Silicon Valley, boxing) and they are on fire. For mere mortals Cooley's shirt would amount to "I lost a bet" but he's Cooley

Was the video just live and not archived? (assuming so and hoping not)

It was streamed live. Not sure if Hangout archived it but at least one person recorded the video feed.Rocky wrote:Was the video just live and not archived? (assuming so and hoping not)
