Tonight's the Night... for whom?

Post by wordmeester »

Caught the awesome Tarrytown show last week and loved the harmonies behind this Neil Young cover. Patterson dedicated it to a recently passed musician but I could not make out the name (my ears were ringing too loud at that point and the audio was muffled.) Does anyone know to whom Hood referred?

It was talked about a bit in this thread. That was the first time DBT busted Tonight's the night out.

They are playing the song in tribute to Phil, a young Athens musician who died suddenly a couple of weeks back. Phil was a Camp Amped alumni and had gone out on the road with The Truckers as part of an internship where he learned how to do the work of a guitar tech. Last week there was a tribute show for Phil at Nuci's Space.
