Dirt Underneath 2015 setlist wishlists

Post by artood2 »

I'd like to see a take on one or two Isbell songs. Not Decoration day or Outfit but maybe Never Gonna Change.. Or Daylight.

I'd also like to see some new covers: some Neil Young or early stones would be tasty.

and I'd love to hear the dragon pants ep in full.

how bout you?

I honestly don't see them covering any Isbell songs, ever.

I agree...don't see them doing Isbell songs...I certainly think if they did they'd shoot a little higher than Daylight.

But since it was brought up Patterson covering a Jason solo song would be kinda cool.

My dirt list
2 Daughters
Pin
maybe cover The Band

I've got a burning desire, but I don't want to jinx it, so I'll hold that one in my hopes and hope for the best on one of these days.

Skipping past that, I'm with the folks who'd be delighted by an unexpected cover. (I coulda plotzed when I heard Troglodyte.) The unexpected guest, too. I don't mean Jason or Neff or Shonna--though I'd be pretty stoked to hear Rob Malone sing Wallace, with maybe some backup singers and the whole nine yards, which is also not going to happen--but just someone local they really dig who comes out to contribute violin or steel guitar or whatever on a song or two. That's cheaper than taking someone on tour--though it could work to take them on a local leg--and more fun for everyone, hope.

But what I really want to see and hear is the new stuff growing and taking shape in front of us all. Every time I've heard the band a song that hadn't made an album yet--Ray's Automatic Weapon, Grand Canyon, The Distance--it's been a great privilege.

So Gimme Gimme Gimme some...

The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

No they haven't. After a show in Lancaster PA in September 2006, Patterson was talking to some fans behind the club. Philly Frank asked him what Neil Young song DBT might do if they ever played one. He thought for a second and said "Revolution Blues."

Over the last couple years Life's Little Ups And Downs has turned into one of my favorite songs ever.
Anyone who wants to hear GG Allin....try to come to a Memphis show. You may not hear a Dirt Underneath style version, but you'll probably hear it.
