lp title suggestions? track listing?
i'll cast a vote for used to be a cop....or was that on the 3rd man release?
based on some very fine field reporting.....these are the songs we know are potentials for the new record.

they should also put a sturgill tune on there.

Make it nice and easy - just release the saturday show in it's entirety, call it Live at the Fillmore

Let There Be Rock (maybe the pub from AC/DC suing them will help with sales...)
On second thought, Phil Ruud might put out a hit on them...

I think clams is right, just release the Saturday show and keep it simple. The setlist is as good as it gets.

Didn't Cooley say Saturday Night it was called 'At the Fiillmore'? Wasn't sure I heard him right, vocals are the hardest thing to hear on the rail in Cooleyville.
take a deep breath and throw yourself into it with everything you got...it's great to be alive!

whatever the title is I think the album cover should be a take on the Allman Brothers cover. I see a cool Wes Freed rendition.

I've always thought it would be a cool idea for someone to release an entire show, opener and all. For instance, Johnny Winter and Elvin Bishop were part of the Allmans' Fillmore concerts but I'm not sure if their sets have ever been released. I believe I have a special edition of Johnny Cash's
At Folsom Prison that includes bits of an opening set from Carl Perkins.

Only if they add Friday night's epic Grand Canyon.

My guess is that it might be named after a certain rarity they've started playing again recently for the first time in years...

It took me a while, but I think I know what you mean now--are you thinking of "When The Pin Hits The Shell"?

I still have a pipe dream that they'd re-record "Town Burned Down" with Barbe producing it and their current DBT line up playing on it. At least get "Runaway Train" and "Smiling at Girls" on a DBT album.

As long as we're wishing I'd love an official vinyl release of Town Burned Down.

I don't think there's anything all that significant about
Town Burned Down other than it provides a glimpse at Patterson and Cooley pre-Truckers.

Agree with zip and agree with kudzu.
With the exception of "Runaway Train" and "Smiling at Girls" I agree with Kudzu, and (stunner) Zip and I are not congruent on this topic.
