Also note to anyone coming in on Wednesday, American Aquarium is playing the Georgia Theater Wednesday night. Them boys kick ass!

Nice. Our plan is to arrive Wednesday evening. As long as there aren't any traffic issues we should be in town early enough to make it to Flicker.

Excellent! Will the scandanavian dude be tagging along with you?

Sadly it understand that the Viking invasion is unlikely this year.

Yes, unfortunately I can confirm this. I am officialy out. February is winter holliday season up here, and this time I wasn't able to make both things happen. Gonna miss being in Athens when it goes down. Hoping for a strong come-back in 2016.

And congrats on making the right desicion, dogstar!

I just saw American Aquarium live for the first time on Sunday and they were excellent. I feel like maybe we could do both?

Bill & Frank & I are planning on hitting Lydia Loveless in Durham on Wed. night on the way down. What do ya think, Bill? Should we stick with that; or drive straight through & catch AA & Pilgrim in Athens?

I don't know if y'all have checked into it already but for those making lodging decisions you should check out the Hilton Garden Inn. It's on Washington Street which is the same street as the 40 Watt. It's not stupidly expensive, the rooms are nice, and they have a breakfast that's actually pretty good. I got up earlier than I normally would on a Homecoming weekend last year so I could catch it. We stayed there last year after years of staying at the Holiday Inn and that's probably our new spot.

We got a deal last year because we were in town for the show. My wife made the arrangements this year but I figured they had the same thing going this year.

Speaking of hotels, does anyone have an opinion about The Graduate? I have a decision between there and Hilton Garden. Hilton is a shorter walk after the show and looks to be generally a better location for walking around town (I haven't been to Athens since mid-1990s, so that's a guess), but Graduate is cheaper, looks a little more unique and doesn't charge for parking.

(I know about Marriott and Holiday Inn, but I'm letting wife pick hotel for this trip. Graduate and Hilton were the two she liked the best & she said she's fine with either. She's not a DBT fan [but she's going to her first Rock Show on Valentine's Day!!!!] but agreed to go along with me because she likes to travel and she's never been to Athens. So I figured it wise to let her pick between the walking-distance hotels.)

I pulled the trigger on a room at The Graduate last night. It's pretty pricy for band accommodations, but it looks nice & I'm trying to look at this as a bit of a "band vacation" cause it's gonna be so freaking awesome.

I asked him what Fire Marshall capacity was. He said around 500. I said, if you don't mind telling me, how many do you have in here tonight? He looked around for a second, making sure there was no "official" lurking, turned to me with that devilish grin of his and said about 850. One of my favorite Craig moments.

I've changed our reservation at the Courtyard for a Thursday check in and booked the shuttle. The rest will have to wait till we just 'happen' to walk past the 40 Watt on our way to check out town Thursday night ;)
