Hey all,

I don't know if there's a thread about this yet - I looked! - but is there any word yet on the dates for Homecoming next year? If it's the same as last year, but husband has given me special dispensation to be away on our anniversary, so here's hoping!

I just got a newsletter with show dates. There is no Homecoming scheduled. Sure hope something materializes.

Shovels and Rope just announced a gig in Asheville on what might be the Tuesday of Homecoming week...assuming it's the same week as last year, which seems quite possible given the mexican adventure. Food for thought...

I've heard (and read) rumblings that potential openers could be Lydia Loveless and Six String Drag but you didn't hear it from me.

I caught Six String Drag opening for DBT in Maryville, TN, this summer. Those guys are fantastic----wish they'd record a live album.

They're about to release their first new album since High Hat (named after the High Hat club in Athens) came out in 1997. Maybe a live album will be next.

I tracked down copies of "6 String Drag" and "High Hat" after seeing them in Maryville. "High Hat" has been in my regular rotation since July. Didn't know they had a new one in the works though---thanks for the info. Will definitely buy it.

ETA: Just noticed on 6 String's website that they are scheduled in Athens on Feb 14th at 9 p.m. (venue not listed)

Why is it that when I go to the website show listings myself, I get the old listing showing the shows in Mexico & Floyd Fest but not homecoming or UT, but when i click the link above, i get the homecoming and UT shows (but not Floydfest)?
