Kind of odd being so far away and yet so near. I've never done just ONE night of homecoming before, but what the hell?
I had no plans of going this year. Haven't done this trip since Craig passed. Kevin (Monty610) talked me into it.
Being lifelong friends and traveling companions on many a rock and roll road trip, I couldn't resist.
So, we (Kev, Heather, and I) are leaving Friday night, hitting the Smokey Mountains around dawn and should be in Athens by the time Thai Spoon opens.

Yes, my first Homecoming, and tragedy, Beantownbubba, the truest or true New Yorkers on 3DD (don't believe that Boston stuff) won't be there, I'll feel kind of alone. Thank god I've already met Beantown and his lovely wife and, again, I thank you for those Heinekins and bottle of wine you left in my cooler a few years ago. Whatever you're going through, my best to you, I'm hoping you'll recover in time for the summer shows. Also, I was looking forward to meeting the Swamps, but, according to Clams, it might be best for me that they are not in attendance, I have a hard time saying no to shots, and I don't remember the lyrics to the Piano Has Been Drinking . Otherwise, I'm pumped, to meet some new folks and see some old friends. Now if you'll excuse, I have to figure out my wardrobe for the weekend, see you in a few days.

Our newest member, atlnjboy, seems to be as geographically challenged as I, maybe even more.
