I was at that show. Had only been a member of the board for a couple of days though and didn't know who anybody was. Don Chambers scared the hell out of Mrs. Younger.
I´m really thrilled my brother and I now got tickets for the Homecoming shows. We have booked our flights (including a detour to Nashville) and hotels. It´ll be our first time in Athens. I´m really grateful finding this great forum. Especially the useful tips in the Athens: primer lodging etc.-thread, and we have now booked us into the Holiday Inn Express hotel.
I was lucky to find out about the presale of the show-tix, as we went to Amsterdam to catch Daddy Hood playing with the Waterboys when the general sale was. Also a big thank you to BostonReb for the American Aquarium tip. A completely new band for me, and we now have tickets for the Georgia theatre gig.
A short introduction: I´m a longtime follower of Bob Dylan and my history when it comes to DBT is rather short, hearing the Dirty South-album mid-2000, and was stunned. It´s still my favourite. My brother and I have catched the boys 4 times in concert. Liverpool and Leeds in 2011 and Manchester and London last May. After the Shepherd Bush show we bumped into a merry bunch of DBT-followers when the bar next door closed. It was really nice people from NY, CT and DC amongst and we had a brief chat. I now hope we could meet other great fellow-supporters at preshowgatherings to coincide with the shows and will happily receive info where they will take place.

See you

Welcome, Micke. We look forward to meeting you and your brother in Athens. Your timing is particularly good because Shuffle, our resident Swede, has not been seen in some time and our Norwegian rock, RolanK, will not be making it to Athens this year. It's good to know that Scandinavia will still be well represented.
You can always count on meeting 3DD'ers on the line starting a couple of hours before the doors open for each show (unless I miss my guess that group will likely include the folks from NY, CT, DC you've already met). Also, many people attend the Nuci's Space auction that takes place on Saturday afternoon. And the Flicker bar, located right next to the 40 Watt, is home away from home away from home for many of the degenerates from this board.
See you soon!
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard
Ah! Scandinavia will be properly represented [*sigh of relief*].
(I may have been at the bar in London, Micke. Did we talk? Pardon me if we chatted and I don't remember. I blame Clams if that is the case. I remember there was a dude from Finland... and, you're gonna have the best time in Athens. (Stay away from snow storms.))

New meat!
And please bring some Surströmming with you, I gotta try that stuff.
Hey folks I'm hearing some loud and reliable rumblings that these shows are selling MUCH faster than in years past and could be sold out earlier than ever. I'd buy tix now if I were you. Extras never go unused after all.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Are you trying to tell me everyone hasn't already bought their tickets and booked hotel rooms? That unbelievable!
Turn you demons into walls of goddamned noise and sound.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and the Hilton Garden this past week; I'll be at the Hilton for HC. BTW, the rate at the HIE that was quoted to me was $65 a night.
Thanks a lot for the warm welcome, and especially to Beantownbubba for the useful tips.
Flea: I think y have to come and visit the Northern parts of Sweden to enjoy the Surstromming. I´m quite sure I will not get through customs with these boxes. They might probobly see them as leathal weapons
RolanK: Probobly, we didn´t meet in London last May, but we´re almost neighbours so we definately will have a couple of drinks together when the lads comes to Scandinavia on tour.
